Libyans-The richest people in Africa

turned paupers and refugees by US and

Europe.

Israel is the ultimate beneficiary

by Latheef Farook
Thousands of Libyans are risking their lives and fleeing their country in
boats across the Mediterranean Sea in search of safety and better life in
Europe.
In this perilous journey, often in not seaworthy boats, operated by ruthless
human smugglers, several thousands have died. Around 1,750 people have
died during the first four months of this year a 20-fold increase on the
same period in 2014 when 96 people died.
Libya was the richest oil producing country in Africa and Libyans enjoyed an
enviable living standard with all modern comforts.
For example, under the 40 year rule of ruthless dictator Muammar Gaddafi,
there was free education and health care for all citizens, around 25% of
the population with a university degree and no beggars on the streets and
nobody was homeless.

Added to this loans to Libyan citizens were given with NO interest, students
could go to college anywhere in the world and the state paid 2,500 Euros
plus accommodation and car allowance, they were also paid the average
salary for the profession they were studying for, If they are unable to get
employment after completing their degree the state paid the full salary as
if they were employed until employment was found, when they got
married the couple got an apartment or house for free from the
Government and cars were sold at factory cost .
Today this oil rich Arab country is a wasteland and killing field, society
virtually collapsed as the entire country was destroyed by the United States
led European invasion to destroy this Muslim country and loot their wealth .
Libya is pushed back several centuries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin described the 20 March 2011 military
strikes on Libya -made possible due to cruel dictator Gaddafis scorched
earth policy, as Medieval Crusade.
As expected the invaders divided Libya as they divided Iraq and started
plundering the countrys oil wealth besides triggering off a bloody civil war.

This was part of a well planned conspiracy to turn the Muslim Middle East
into a virtual killing field and graveyard. The invaders did not care about
death and destruction. All what they wanted was for the Muslim Middle
East to remain in turmoil , set up armed conflict so that their weapons
industry could flourish as it has been during the past three decades.

For more than four decades Libyans suffered under Gaddafis oppressive
rule.
According to reports Libya, with a population of about 6.5 million, had $105
billion worth of reserves in the national treasury and the Gaddafis family
buried the vast plundered nations wealth in almost 40 countries.
The popular uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt gave hope to Libyans who too
asked for freedom and justice. Gaddafi responded with indiscriminate
killings to silence the people. Inevitably demonstrations spread especially in
the eastern part of the country. Gaddafi deprived the people of food, water,
medicine, destroyed hospitals and even looted medical equipment.
Libyans turned to the whole world seeking help to stop Gaddafi massacring
them. Their appeals fell on deaf ears because war mongers were waiting for
this opportune moment to implement their evil design. On Libya.
To legalize their crime the US and its allies got the United Nations
Security Council to adopt Resolution 1973 on March 17, 2011, authorizing
them to take measures to protect civilians and imposed a no-fly zone .
Some consider this resolution a flagrant violation of the UN Charter itself.
In keeping with the resolution 1973 President Barack Obama authorized
military strikes on Libya without the approval of the Congress. Thus began
military strikes on Libya by the mightiest military powers in human history
employing the most sophisticated aircrafts and destructive weapons. They
violated international laws and interfered in the internal issue of
the Libyans.
Human rights activist Ahmad Dyraki accused the US-led military coalition of
trying to keep the balance between pro and anti-Gaddafi forces to
aggravate the rift between the two sides. The US-led coalition can finish
with Gaddafi in less than 24 hours... they do not want to do this, he said.
Meanwhile describing the NATO-led invasion not as liberation of Libyan
people, Turkish President Abdullah Gul warned against pursuing a hidden
agenda. Voicing his strong skepticism towards the military operation Gul
pointed out that "Those who have supported these regimes for long years
are now suddenly changing roles."

"There are hidden agendas and differing interests. We should light the fire,
the rest will follow is a wrong mentality, and unfortunately I suspect the
presence of such a mentality on the side of coalition forces. I worry that
the things that happened in Iraq may repeat itself in Libya. Iraq was
looted; now I am afraid that the same will happen in Libya. Turkey "neither
wants the division of Libya, nor bloodshed, nor the continuation of the
current administration (in Tripoli)stated President Abdullah Gul.
This happened as predicted by President Gul.
Oil and gas account for 97 percent of Libyas export earnings, one-fourth of
the countrys economic output, and 90 percent of government revenue. It
means that all of Libya's resources lie in the eastern province which can be
easily split-off Serbia-style by the invaders using their proxy armies and
their "democracy promoting" puppets. This is what's really at the heart of
humanitarian intervention", further Balkanization of the Middle East. Its
plunder disguised as magnanimity.
NATO interference in Libya is not to liberate Libyans but to help themselves
by putting Libyans against each other as they did in Iraq. Libyans who
trusted NATO to remove Gaddafi sarcastically asked where is Sarkozy?
He may be sleeping! They said NATO is not helping us. Instead NATO is
against us.

Realizing the worldwide hostility towards US for its disastrous military

invasions
President Barack Obama put forward French President Nicolas
Sarkozy to lead the killing and destruction in Libya. It is Libyas turn to
pay the price for the US NATO conspiracy to turn this peaceful country
into to yet another killing field and penetrate deep into Africa.
In fact, according to some reports, it was Sarkozys secret service killed
Muammar Gaddafi and the war mongers Western media put the blame on
the Libyans.An
Hitting out at NATOs failure to protect civilians, rebel commander Abdul
Fatah Younis said two weeks after NATO military strikes, on 6 April, 2011,
that NATO forces failed to supply weapon .Hundreds of thousands of
families fleeing for safety caused a humanitarian crisis. Their pathetic plight
was nobodys concern and neither United Nations nor any one spoke.
Innocent civilians fleeing for safety has become common sight in Libya as it
happened from Bosnia and Kosovo to Afghanistan and Iraq. Libyans, some
of whom were armed and trained for years by America in neighboring
African countries, are paying the price for trusting Americans and
Europeans to bring them freedom and democracy.
The ultimate beneficiary of this carnage on Libya is the weapons industry,
oil cartels, financial oligarchy and other corporate conglomerates.
The pathetic plights of Libyans are such that they are taking risk with
their lives to escape their own country to cross over to Europe for a safer
future.
Thus the richest people in Africa were made penniless paupers and
refugees fleeing their country in search of safety due to the so called
humanitarian interference of US led European powers. Of course the
ultimate beneficiary is Israel which is hell bent on destabilizing the Middle
East. Ends
