Welcome to Creo Student Edition on one DVD-ROM. PTC hopes that you enjoy using the worlds
most popular 3D MCAD solution. This guide provides instructions on the installation and
implementation of the software.

* * Understanding the user demographic for all edition, it is required that the edition be able to run without OpenGL.
This is primarily due to the fact that users might be using this edition on home desktop machines and the available
graphics cards may not support OpenGL. In order to address this issue in the event that users graphics card does not
support OpenGL, PTC will include Software OpenGL technology into the installation.
This will be controlled by a new config.pro option called use_software_opengl=yes. When activated, Creo 2.0 will
utilize the software OpenGL and ignore the standard graphics config.pro option.

No access to floating options
Student Edition banners on the borders of plots and drawings
Online registration and license generation process

Step: 3 - Opening a PTC Online Account

You must have a PTC online account to generate a license and use the software. If you already
have an online PTC account, skip to the next chapter. Otherwise, on a computer connected to the
Internet, create your online account using these instructions.
Click https://www.ptc.com/appserver/common/account/student.jsp The New
Account page opens.

Fill in any empty text boxes.

Click Create Account. A confirmation page opens.

Review and print this confirmation. A confirmation of your account is sent to your
e-mail address.

Step: 4 - Installing Creo Student Edition

Start the installation by running setup.exe from the DVD media

Select Install New Software and click Next

Accept the license agreement by checking I Accept the License Agreement

click Next to continue

Enter the student edition product code (copy > past the Product Code
www.ptcgsindia.com). Click 'Install Licensing' to generate the license file.

A new window will ask for the www.ptc.com User name & Password.

Once created, setup will add the license file to the license summary section. Click
Next

Validate the Installation Path & Select the applications to be installed. Click Install

Select Finish exit the PTC Installation Assistant

Step: 4a - Generating a License

On a computer connected to the Internet, use the following instructions to submit a license
request:
Click www.ptc.com/go/studentlicense4creo2
A PTC.com login page opens.

Log in with your user name and password. The Creo 2.0 Student Edition Licensing
page opens. Most of the text boxes are filled, except for the Product Code and Host
ID text boxes
o In the Product Code text box, copy > past the Product Code from
www.ptcgsindia.com .
o In the Host ID text box, type the Host ID (same you entered in
www.ptcgsindia.com ) of the computer on which you want to install Creo
Student Edition.
Click Submit Request.

A confirmation page opens. 6. Review the information before you close the
browser.

A License Pack is generated based on your information and arrives by e-mail

Step: 4b - Installing Creo Student Edition (Offline)

Start the installation by running setup.exe from the DVD media

Select Install New Software and click Next

Accept the license agreement by checking I Accept the License Agreement

click Next to continue

With existing license files should use this section to enter the path or to drag and
drop the file into the text box provided. The installation will begin automatically.

Once the installation has completed the Status should show as Available

Validate the Installation Path & Select the applications to be installed. Click Install

Select Finish exit the PTC Installation Assistant
