This course is based on the ISO 18436-2 certification program vibration analyst category 1 syllabus and is designed to prepare
staff for the BINDT PCN VA Cat 1 Certification Exam. The course is accredited by BINDT PCN to CM GEN App D. All our trainers
are certified vibration analysts to VA 2 or higher.
VA Cat 1 personnel are qualified to perform a range of simple single-channel machinery vibration condition monitoring and
diagnostics of machines activities in accordance with ISO 17359 and ISO 13373-1. They are qualified:
To operate portable instrumentation on pre-assigned or pre-programmed routes
Acquire readings from permanently installed instrumentation
To input results into a database and download routes from a computer
To conduct testing under steady-state operating conditions following predefined procedures

This course is based on and exceeds the requirements of ISO 18436-6 certification program AE Category 1 syllabus.
Designed to prepare candidates for the AE Cat 1 PCN Certification Exam with BINDT.
The course is accredited by BINDT PCN to CM GEN App A. All our trainers are certified AE Practitioners to Cat 2 or higher.
Individuals classified as Category I are qualified to perform industrial Acoustic Emission measurements according to established
and recognised procedures and shall be able to:

This course is based on and exceeds the requirements of SNT-TC-1A and ISO 18436-7 certification program thermographer
category 1 syllabus. Designed to prepare candidates for the Thermography Cat 1 Certification Exam with ASNT or BINDT PCN.
The course is accredited by BINDT PCN to CM GEN App B. All our trainers are certified Thermographers to Cat 2 or higher.
Individuals classified as Category I are qualified to perform infrared thermography according to established and recognised
procedures. Personnel classified as Category I shall be able to:
Apply a specified thermographic measurement technique
Set up and operate the thermal imaging equipment for safe thermographic data collection
Identify, prevent, minimise and control poor data acquisition and error sources

reliability professionals.
Level 1 Machine Lubricant Analyst The purpose for the Level 1 Machine Lubricant Analyst (MLA) certification is to verify that
technicians practicing in the field of lube oil analysis, as it is applied to machinery condition monitoring and maintenance, are
qualified to perform the following tasks:
Manage lubricant delivery, storage and dispensation
Manage a route for machinery re-lubrication and / or inspection
Properly change and / or top the oil in mechanical equipment found in common industrial sites
Use simple techniques to select lubricants with the proper base oil and additive system for machinery commonly found in
industrial settings
Use simple techniques to select grease lubricants appropriate for machines commonly found in industrial settings
Use simple techniques to select grease application methods (including automated delivery) that are least intrusive and most
effective for machines commonly found in industrial settings
Use simple techniques to estimate re-grease volume and interval for machines commonly operated in industrial settings.
Properly maintain automatic lubrication systems (auto-grease, mist systems, etc.)
Employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot abnormal lubricant degradation conditions, and use simple
techniques to adjust the lubricant specification accordingly
Common job titles for the individual who would become Level I MLA certified include Lubrication Technician, PM Technician,
Millwright, Mechanic, etc. Generally, this individual has regular contact with the machine and has routine influence over the
condition of lubricants and hydraulic fluids in use. The individual is likely to be directly involved in the machine lubrication
process.

Employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot conditions of wrong or degraded lubricant, and devise and
implement corrective actions.
Employ basic oil analysis to identify and troubleshoot contaminated lubricant conditions, and devise and implement corrective
actions.
Employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot abnormal machine wear conditions, and devise and implement
corrective actions.
Inspect and receive new oil deliveries.
Common job titles for the individual who would become Level II MLA certified include Oiler, Lube Technician, Lubricator, PM or
PDM Technician, Millwright, Mechanic, Reliability Technician, etc. Generally, this individual has regular contact with the machine
and has routine influence over the condition of lubricants and hydraulic fluids in use. The individual is likely to be directly involved
in oil sampling and troubleshooting routine problems identified by lab test results and field lubricant inspections. As such a basic
understanding of lubrication, oil analysis tests, oil analysis terminology, and data interpretation are required.
