When speaking Korean, the General Rule is to evenly stress phrases and sentences
. When speaking questions, the tone is upward at the end of the sentence just li
ke English.
Koreans do not refer to their language as "Korean." What it's called depends on
where you are. In North Korea, they call it Joseonmal, or more formally, Joseone
o. In South Korea, it is known as Hangungmal, or more formally, Hangugeo. The la
nguage is sometimes colloquially called Urimal, "our language." [See the image.
On your left is Hangugeo and on your right is Joseonmal.]
Hangungmal/Hangugeo can be used formally and informally. But first let me give y
ou some informations about the suffixes commonly used.
If you want to know the difference between "imnida" and "hamnida", you're asking
a very broad question d^_____^b and it will not be easy for me to explain it ev

en in tagalog dT_____Tb
For now, you can think "hamnida" means "to do" and "imnida" means "to be." Okies
? d^_^b Both are used after your statement. For example : "Mianhamnida" which me
ans "I'm Sorry"; when introducing yourself, "Yoona-imnida." which means "I am Yo
ona."
Eto na haha! d^_^b
I am teaching you based on how I learned, kaya kung may mali ako.. mali ka rin!
Hahaha! Mali tayo pareho! Kung mali ako at tama ka, pakicomment nalang! d^_^b
T I P S :
1. Learn Korean ALPHABETS first. Importante 'to dahil malilito ka sa mga maririn
ig mo. For sure na-encounter mo na ang: "Miyane" at "Biyane" and both of them me
ans "Sorry." Right? Because letter B and M are the same letter in korean.

babo and pabo "idiot"]
gomawo and komawo "thanks"]
dangsin and tangsin "you"]
sarang and salang "love]
ne and de "yes"]

2. Be POLITE all the time. With verb stems which end in vowels such as "GA", it
is possible to make this POLITE by adding "YO" to the end of the word and make i
t "GA-YO" which means "to go", "I go" or "he goes". Verbs in the polite style ca
n be used as statements, questions, suggestions or commands, and may be further
emphasised by the tone of your voice. For example, "Jal Jinaessoyo" may be both
expressed as a question by asking how someone is, or stating that you are fine.
Another example is the more common Annyeonghaseyo.RULE: In Korean there are two
sets of numbers which are used when counting, the first set is Native-Korean num
bers, and the other is Sino-Korean which is based on the chinese numerals. The u
se of these numbers depends on the context in which it is used, for example the
native korean numbers are used when counting hours, and the sino korean when use
d to count minutes.
Sino-Korean Numbers:
0-yeong
1-il
2-ee
3-sam
4-sa
5-oh
6-yuk
7-chil
8-pal
9-gu

10-ship
11-shipil
12-shipee
13-shipsam
14-shipsa
15-shipo
16-shipnyuk
17-shipchil
18-ship-pal
19-shipgu
20-eeship
30-samship
40-saship
50-oship
60-yukship
Eto po ay base lamang sa aking natutunan hehe. Kung meron po akong mali, please
feel free to correct me, I won't mind po d^___^b PROMISE! d^_^b ???

In KOREA, age is counted differently than everywhere else. They have this, Korea

n Age Counting System. Koreans count him as one year old, Koreans consider the g
estation period as the first year. This show how Koreans respect all stages of l
ife. Kung halimbawang 18 years old ka dito sa Pilipinas, sa Korea ay 19 years ol
d ka na. Why? Kasi kasama sa bilang yung pinagbubuntis ka pa lang. So kapag pina
gbuntis at pinanganak ka sa Korea, paglabas mo, 1 year old ka na. Gets?
* In Korea, you are born one (1) years of age. Call it a really long pregnancy
* In Korea, you increase your age count on January 1st of every year, not on you
r birthday
* In Korea, your chronological age is factored in for horoscopes and astrology,
not for age counting
