- We would like to remind you that NIB Bank does not ask customers to provide sensitive information in the way as
mentioned in point 1 and 2. NEVER reply to such emails or provide to any website and IF you have responded to one of

- Incase you have not submitted an attested copy of your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) then kindly provide
us a copy since we have to update our record as per State Bank of Pakistan regulations.
The bank had "Blocked"/would "Block" the accounts for all debit transactions / withdrawals, irrespective of mode of
payments for those Account holders / Customers, who have failed to provide the attested copies of their CNICs. Debit
block will only be removed upon submission of copy of valid CNIC.
- Please note if no customer initiated transaction is carried out through the account for a minimum period of 12 months (or
such other period / procedure as may be decided by the bank from time to time ), the account may be classified as
''Dormant''. ("Debit transactions/ withdrawals shall not be allowed until the account holder produces an attested copy of
his/her CNIC / ID document and fulfills all other formalities for activation of the account. However, transactions e .g. debits
under the recovery of loans and markup etc. any permissible bank charges, government duties or levies and instruction
issued under any law or from the court will not be subject to debit or withdrawal restriction."). Re-activation of a ''Dormant''
account would require you to visit your NIB branch.

Kindly note that where an account has become dormant as per the approved policy of the bank, dispatch of statement of
accounts be stopped till such time the accounts are reactivated or new address is made available/obtained by the bank.
- Please note, any Deposit/Instrument, which remains inoperative for a period of ten years, shall become unclaimed as per
the provisions of Banking Companies Ordinance (BCO), 1962. In order to claim the refund of unclaimed
deposit/instruments surrendered to the SBP, the claimant/beneficiary will provide written application along with CNIC,
which shall be submitted to SBP for refund in accordance with prevailing regulations.
