PROLOGUE
Im not writing this write-up being a Mahesh Babu fan, but as an obsessional admirer of psychological
thriller genre. After consciously started watching Telugu films from 2006, I never saw a psychological
thriller with such substance with an A grade star (though lot of Tamil dubbed films came) in Telugu.
STORY

Coming to the story, the film opens with, young Goutam chasing by three persons (Nasar, Pradip Rawat
and Kelly Dorji with monkey caps) and stopped by sudden occurrence of a police jeep,to show its a
dream, he wakes up from sleep, the next shot cuts to a rock show where Gautam performed a song,
which narrates the psychological state of Gautam, in the very next seen he sees Kelly Dorji entering the
auditorium. While looking at him, Kelly Dorji starts shooting at Gautam, Gautam jumps from the stage
and starts chasing him, at an isolated place he kills Kelly Dorji and surrender himself at a police station.
After the real video shot by a journalist (played by Kriti Sanon) played in a news channel, it is revealed to
audience that it is his imagination. One day while arranging Rubiks cubein his unique way, Gautam sees
some persons are coming to his home and takes pictures of them and attacks them. Police and
journalists came to his home, and thought it also his imagination.Sameera (Kriti Sanon) and the SI

(Shayaji shinde) took him to hospital, there Gautamdiagnosed with Integration disorder and the doctor
tells, it is his pure illusion. To avoid distress he decides to travel, he decides to visit Goa (by using steps
of a kid to fix his destination).Sameera also joined him in Goa (a place where Kelly dorje actually
resides), she tried to confuse Gautam, as per the doctors suggestion, which is if she proved to him that
he is imagined other things also apart from those three persons, he can able to cure him. In Goa Gautam
sees Kelly Dorji again and starts chasing him, but couldnt find him, another time also he sees him and
follows him, there in an imagined conversation, Kelly Dorji says he will kill Sameera as he dont want
proofs for his murders,Gautam took an iron rod and try to hit him and stopped by seeing Sameera
instead, He forcibly made her to drink drug, which causes her a unconscious state, that night some
people lit fire to yacht of Gautam but he escapes with Sameera to an island, there Gautam finds the
Sameeras double play to confuse him, and tells her he trusted her a lot and she deceived him,
Saddened Sameera, shoots a video of instances which prompted her to do so and left that place.
Gautam again attacked by some people and realizes that actually they came for Sameera and discloses it
to her, which she didnt believed and left to Hyderabad, Gautam who follows her, stays at outside of her
house and saves her from an attack by some goons. Sameera who works in TV channel reports it to her
CEO; there it was revealed that those attacks were done by Kelly Dorji, to stop the investigation on his
seeds company, who now offers huge amount of money to Benarji (CEO of News channel) to stop the
investigation. Unaware of this discussion and real existence of Kelly Dorji, Gautam kills him in a rest
room, assuming it is his imagination. After hearing bullet sound Sameera reaches the place and tells
Gautam it was real. Gautam sorts out a phone number from his photographs taken on the day he
attacks in his house on some people, and calls him (Nasar),Nasar introduces himself as cab owner, tells
him a flash back about his parents and his past and gives him a pouch which his father gave to him.
Gautam finds a British coin in that pouch and starts to London with Sameera, in search of his past, there
he hires a taxi, and on the way to his stay, his taxi got hit by a road truck, but all the members in the taxi
was survived. In order to find the clues about his accident he tries to meet Michael (event organizer of
Gautam shows in London) and he run away from Gautam, while searching him he found him dead in a
room and starts chasing the murderer and ends up with a bike skid. While conversing with Samera he
arranged rubiks cube in his habitual way and founds a symbol, similar to a bank which he saw while
chasing the murderer. There he found golden rice grain stored by his father, in an arranged way to find
his enemies; he hits a police car with his car and held in prison, to there two persons came to bail him
from jail by lobbying, he came out and starts hitting the both to know the truth, Naveen(Pradeep
Rawats son) took him to the place, where Gautam killed his father and narrated him the event, after
few instances Gautam realizes that He didnt killed his father but Nasar who lied to him as a car driver
and disclose it to him, and goes to the Nasars company, after some conversation, Nasar reveals he killed
Gautams parents for golden rice seed. After several requests to know about his parents, vexed Gautam
kills Nasar. While returning in taxi, he hears a rhyme and asks posani Krishna Murali to stop the car, and
finds an encrypted root to his home in that rhyme created by his mother and reaches his old home and
finds his parents real names and photos.
ANALYSIS
Artists Performance:

This film belongs to Mahesh Babu and he had done a great job, his mannerisms as a psychological
disordered person was looked very real, this is his best performance till date. Kriti sanon made a
confident debut. Gautam as young Mahesh Babu had done good job, other artists done settled
performances.
Technical Departments:
Songs by Devi Sri Prasad is good and the back ground score was fantabulous, Cinematography by
Ratnavelu is top notch, and color grading is synchronized with the theme of movie.
Story-Screenplay-Direction: Sukumar who co-written the story, took a unique plot, for Telugu audience.
Screenplay of this film was multi layered and he revealed twists in a subtle way, and coming to the
glimpse of good writing, the interval bang stood as a bench mark reference. And the way he revealed
the way to Gautams home through rhyme is a unique ending in recent times.
Sukumar who told in an interview that he had ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder), took proper care of
Mahesh Babus mannerisms as psychological disordered person, his shot compositions were slick and
the way he and his cinematographer put the camera angles are awesome.
INSPIRATIONS
In one scene where Mahesh Babu asks an old couple does she (kriti sanon) there and Kelly Dorji entry
in auditorium scenes were inspired from A Beautiful mind film. Some scenes are taken from
filmUnknown.

A must watch film.
