SGX-LISTED CIVMEC SECURES AUD68 MILLION WORTH OF


NEW CONTRACTS
SINGAPORE, 2 June 2015 Integrated construction and engineering services
provider Civmec Limited (Civmec) announced today that it has secured new
projects and additional work for existing contracts worth AUD68 million, including
work for mining giant Rio Tinto.
The clients and new projects secured are as follows:

Rio Tinto: Vertical package to deliver a Pilbara fuel facility


Sedgman: Structural, mechanical and piping works at Alcoas Kwinana
filtration plant
GE Oil & Gas: Fabrication and testing of Gorgons 34 inch Subsea Pig
Launcher/Receiver
FMC Technologies: Fabrication, surface treatment and testing of a
production manifold for the Persephone Project

The increased scope for existing projects includes:

Brookfield Multiplex: Precast concrete components for the new Perth


Stadium
Roy Hill: Bulk earthworks and 36kms of trenching

RIO TINTO: Under a direct Rio Tinto contract, Civmec will carry out the development
of a new fuel facility located between Rio Tintos Brockman 2 and Brockman 4 Mine
Operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Civmec will commence work on the project immediately, with an expected completion
date of September 2015 and will involve up to 90 workers at its peak.
The vertical package project involves fabrication, civil works, structural, mechanical
and piping (SMP) and electrical works. This includes the construction of a facility to
unload 16 Rail Tank Cars (RTCs) simultaneously into diesel storage tanks
(constructed by others), along with a facility to load road tankers. It also includes
construction of a number of related facilities for minor truck maintenance, and the
installation of a fuel management system and fire protection system.

SEDGMAN: Civmec will be undertaking structural, mechanical, platework and piping


installation works for a new filtration plant at Alcoas Kwinana operations, south of
Perth.
The project will involve peak manning of 140 workers, building and installing tanks
and filter equipment including six filter presses, each weighing in excess of 135
tonnes. Work is commencing immediately, with completion scheduled for November
2015.
GE OIL & GAS: Civmec will be undertaking the fabrication and testing of Gorgons
new 34 inch Subsea Pig Launcher/Receiver (SSPLR) on behalf of GE Oil & Gas in
two stages.
Stage 1 works will commence immediately and will involve the fabrication of a 34
inch barrel for a Subsea Pig Receiver from supplied materials, with the complete
structure weighing 104 tonnes. Completion of Stage 1 is scheduled for November
2015. Fabrication of a 6 inch kicker header, testing of the SSPLR and retro fitting will
be carried out at a later date as part of Stage 2 works.
FMC TECHNOLOGIES: Civmec will immediately commence work on behalf of FMC
Technologies for the fabrication, surface treatment and testing of a production
manifold.
The manifold is designed for installation at the Persephone Project, located on
Australias North West Shelf and is scheduled for completion by March 2016.
BROOKFIELD MULTIPLEX: Following on from Civmec being awarded a major
contract for the fabrication and erection of steelwork for the structure and roof of the
new Perth Stadium (as announced to the market on 4 March 2015), Brookfield
Multiplex has selected the Company to supply and install approx. 5,300 tonnes of
precast concrete units for the new Perth Stadium.
Work on the project will commence in July 2015, with completion due by May 2016.
ROY HILL: Civmec will be carrying out bulk earth works and trenching on behalf of
SCT (Samsung C&T) at the Roy Hill iron ore project in the Pilbara region of Western
Australia.
The project includes excavation and backfilling of in excess of 36 km of trenching,
installation of conduits and cable into trenches, and provision of other electrical
services. Work on the project is commencing immediately, with completion scheduled
for mid-2015.
