Current Status
Serving in the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER),
Mohali, a body of Govt. of India, Ministry of Fertilizers and Chemicals, as a Technical
Assistant since May 2004. Actively associated with the ongoing R&D works of the lab,
particularly in the area of Diabetic Neuropathy.

Experience
Worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Defense Agricultural Research
Laboratory, Pithoragarh (Uttaranchal), a body of Govt. of India, Ministry of Defense,
Defense Research and Development Organization, for two years (from June 2002 to May
2004). Mandate of the laboratory is to evolve world-class high altitude agro technologies
for ensuring food security in Himalayan region. Associated with R&D task in the project
Biotechnological approaches to enhance the utility of vegetable genetic resources.
Project Work During M.Sc
Six months dissertation work (from 1st July 2000 to 31st Dec 2000) on DNA
fingerprinting. Title of the work was Assessment of genetic relationships in Asparagus
species using RAPD analysis at the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
(CIMAP), a body of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Lucknow, UP,
India, under the supervision of Dr. S.P.S. Khanuja, Director, CIMAP.
Fellowships Awarded
Received Junior Research Fellowship from Govt. of India, Ministry of Defense, for
working in the Defense Agricultural Research Laboratory, Pithoragarh, Uttaranchal for a
period of 2 years.
Scholarships Awarded
Received scholarship of Rs. 1200 per month for six months consecutively on meritorious
basis to complete Research training in Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic
Plants, Lucknow, by Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Barkatullah
University, Bhopal, MP, India.
