SCOPE
This release is applicable to all ORBCOMM OG2 modems.
CHANGES
2014-07-18 version 1.3.0
Improved sleep mode for use with satellite Hybrid mode.
Improved Burst ID selection.
ORBCOMM Encoded Latitude & Longitude can now only be updated over the air via the ORBCOMM
SYSTEM COMMAND, and the Last Known Position in no longer maintained.
Bug fixes which could cause the bootloader to hang.
GPS Weeks was incorrectly updated when only a time fix was scheduled.
POSITION REPORTs that are initiated by a COMMUNICATIONS COMMAND are no longer treated as a serial
message and stored in NVM, nor do they use zero by default as their MHA number in NVM which could
have caused lost messages. The GPS position age requirement has also been removed. As long as the
last known position was valid, it will be sent.
Serial Interface Status Report messages use the GPS Epoch, yet the time was derived from System
Time. Until the system time is updated, the Status Report message time wrapped backwards into the
future.
Logger functionality added. SDEBUG, [1-6] added with 1 being the least and 6 being the most
verbose. QDEBUG will return the SDEBUG level.
