Quest for Community

The Quest group would like to take this opportunity to express its
heartfelt “Thank you” to School District #8, Mt. Sentinel Secondary
School staff and student body, our parents and community for all
the love, support and concern given us during our Haiti experience
and since our return home. Our lives have been changed…in many
positive ways.

Mt. Sentinel’s Jr. and Sr. Jazz Bands will be attending the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in
Moscow, Idaho (Feb. 24 – Feb. 28). It is the largest of its type in the world, with internationally
known musicians performing and conducting workshops . In preparation for their world premier,
our jazz musicians performed for our community, Thursday, Feb. 11, at the annual “CafeJazz”.
Special guests were the members of “Playmor Junction” who have kindly donated their time and
talents to “Café Jazz” for the past 5 years. Many thanks to the devoted and hard-working parents,
students and staff who make the trip to the Jazz Festival possible.

NEWS FROM THE WORLD OF ART…..All MSSS students are invited to attend the Art
club, Mondays at lunch in the Art Studio. This term’s theme: Art for Love, Love for Art.
Bring your ideas! We have a button maker to help with fund raising, with proceeds going to
