I. REQUIREMENTS
1.

Material Management professionals in EII/EIII/EIV Grade as Dy Engineer/Sr


Engineers/ Dy Managers

Job Description:
The incumbent shall be responsible for Material Purchase, sub-contract, store management and
logistics of the Product Development groups. Capital assets including machines, equipment, ITinfrastructure needs to be planned and procured in addition to addressing the concurrent needs of
items, materials and components for the establishment. Negotiations with the vendors and
contract management shall be the part of the job responsibility in line with CVC guidelines
related to public procurement.
Qualification:
Four years full time B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) from recognized university/institute 60% for
Gen/OBC candidates and Pass Class for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The candidate should have
good academic track record. Functional knowledge of SAP environment and Certification in
Material Management would be an added advantage.
Relevant Experience:
The incumbents will be selected in the specific grade of pay based on work experience and
competencies. Candidate should have post qualification experience of minimum 1 year for EII
grade, more than 3 years for EIII grade and more than 6 years for E IV grade, in Material
Management in any manufacturing organization preferably in electronics sector.

For experienced candidates the exposure towards managing procurement of Electronics


components, capital equipment/ machines and outsourcing of services and subcontracts shall be
preferred. The exposure to CVC guidelines related to public procurement, commercial
understanding of taxes and duties and other INCO terms shall be desirable.

Applied Optics/ Photonics & Laser professionals in EII/EIII/EIV Grade as Dy


Engineer/ Sr Engineers/ Dy Managers

Job Description:
The incumbent shall be responsible for the design and development of advanced optical &
Thermal imaging and Laser products/ systems for Military and Para-Military requirements. At
the initial stage he shall be responsible to establish the required infrastructure for the
development, testing and evaluation of Optical products/system. He shall work in close coordination with BEL Units/ SBUs and DRDO organizations for product development needs.
Qualification:
Minimum two years full time MSc (Tech-Photonics), two years full time M Tech (Applied
Optics/ Optical Engineering/Photonics), from any AICTE approved institution/ university with
60% for Gen / OBC candidates and PassClass for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The candidate
should have good academic track record. Specialization in fiber laser will be preferred for laser
experts. Candidate pursuing Ph.D in the relevant area of specialization will also be preferred.
Relevant Experience:
The incumbents will be selected in the specific grade of pay based on work experience and
competencies. The candidate shall have awareness and hands on experience on ZEMAX, CODE
V optical design software or equivalent and those with specialization in fiber laser shall be
preferred for Laser professionals.
Candidate should have post qualification experience of minimum 1 year for EII grade, more
than 3 years for EIII grade and more than 6 years for E IV grade, in any manufacturing
organization preferably in electronics sector.

Electronics professionals in Embedded, Telecom product design, in EII/EIII/EIV

Job Description:
The incumbent shall be responsible for the design and development of Electronic products/
systems in the relevant area of specialization.

Qualification:
Four years full time BE/B Tech in Electronics/ Electronics & communication from any AICTE
approved institution/ university with 60% for Gen / OBC candidates and Pass Class for
SC/ST/PWD candidates. The candidate should have good academic track record.
Relevant Experience:
The incumbents will be selected in the specific grade of pay based on work experience and
competencies. Candidate should have post qualification experience of minimum of 1 year for
EII grade, more than 3 years for EIII grade and more than 6 years for E IV grade.
The candidate should have hands-on development experience having worked on specific
projects/ products with competencies in some of the following areas:
i) Embedded Design: Candidate should have sound Knowledge in Embedded System
16/32/64 bit X86/RISC/ARM/DSP Processor, Digital Signal Processing, FPGA, HDL
(VHDL or Verilog).
ii) Telecom Products: Candidate should have sound knowledge in IP Networking, IMS,
VOIP, TCP/IP, Voice and Video Media Processing, Wireless technology WiFi/
WiMax/LTE, Digital Signal Processor, FPGA, HDL (VHDL or Verilog).
4. Software Professionals in EII/EIII Grade as Dy Engineer/ Sr Engineers

Job Description:
The incumbent shall be responsible for the design and development of software for electronic
products/ system, telecom products/ systems and NMS.
Qualification:
Four years full time BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/ Information Technology from any AICTE
approved institution/ university with 60% for Gen / OBC candidates and Pass Class for
SC/ST/PWD candidates. The candidate should have good academic track record.
Relevant Experience:
The incumbents will be selected in the specific grade of pay based on work experience and
competencies. Candidate should have post qualification experience of minimum 1 year for EII
grade, more than 3 years for EIII grade and more than 6 years for E IV grade.
The candidate should possess competencies in either of the following areas and should have
hands-on development experience in specific project/ product:
i) Candidate should have sound programming skills in C, C++, Operating System, Linux
and RTOS, Windows using APIs and sound Knowledge of Device Driver, BSP, BIOS,
Embedded software on X86/ARM /RISC/ Processor Architecture
ii) Candidate should have sound programming skills in C, C++, Operating System Linux
and Windows and sound Knowledge of IP Networking, TCP/IP, VOIP & SIP Protocol,
IMS, XMPP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, Wireless Technologies WiFi/ WiMax/LTE etc.
iii) Candidate should have sound programming skills in C, C++, Visual basic, JAVA,
Operating System, Linux and RTOS, Windows and sound Knowledge of IP Networking,

TMN, TMF-CORBA, SNMP, XML, Web server, MIB, SQL, mySQL.

Product Engineering professionals (Mechanical/ Product Design) in EII/EIII/EIV


Grade as Dy Engineer/ Sr Engineers/ Dy Managers or equivalent.

Number of vacancies: eight (8)

Job Description:
The incumbent shall be responsible for engineering of Military Grade electronic
equipment/products. The activities shall include product conceptualization, 3D part modeling,
carrying out design verification using Thermal and Structural Analysis tools, building
prototypes, validating design and generating file of drawings for production.
Qualification:
Four years full time B.E./ B.Tech (Mechanical) or Two years full time M.Tech (Product
Design), from recognized university/institute 60% for Gen / OBC candidates and Pass Class for
SC/ST/PWD candidates. The candidate should have good academic track record.
Relevant Experience:
The incumbents will be selected in the specific grade of pay based on work experience and
competencies. Candidate should have post qualification experience of minimum 1 year for EII
grade, more than 3 years for EIII grade and more than 6 years for E IV grade in product
engineering/ product design preferably in electronics sector.
The exposure/ experience in Military Standards, part/assembly modeling using 3D modeling
tools, thermal and structural analysis, Reliability Engineering and Design for Six Sigma shall be
an added advantage.
METHOD OF SELECTION:
The incumbents meeting the qualifications and other conditions will be shortlisted for written
test/ interview based on their relevant experience as required in the post applied for.
Selection will be through a written Test, followed by an Interview for only those candidates who
qualify in the written test for the EII and EIII grade. Selection in EIV will be through interview.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
a. Post Qualification teaching experience will NOT be considered.
b. Reservation/relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be as per Government
directives.
c. In addition to Basic Pay other allowance like Dearness Allowance, House Rent
Allowance, 48% of Basic Pay as perquisites, Performance Related Pay (PRP),

Medical Reimbursement, Group Insurance, Provident Fund, Gratuity, as per


Company rules will be a part of remuneration package.
a. Applications of GEN/OBC candidates should be accompanied by a crossed Demand
Draft for Rs. 500/-. Candidates are required to download and print the bank challan
available on the BEL website. The challan (in triplicate) is to be filled by the applicant
and submitted to the nearest SBI Branch, along with an application fee of Rs.500/- plus
bank charges. On submission of the challan unique transaction number (Journal Number)
will be generated and the same would be written by the staff at the Bank. The bank
portion of the challan will be retained by the staff and the remaining 2 portions will be
given to the candidate. The candidate is to ensure that the Journal Number is entered on
the challan before leaving the bank. The candidate is required to attach the Companys
copy of the challan alongwith the application format. The candidate can retain his copy
of the challan for further reference. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from
payment of application fees. Application Fee will not be refunded.
b. Candidates employed in Government/Quasi Government and Public Sector
undertaking will be required to have their application forwarded through proper
channel or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview without which
they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
c. The number of posts indicated above may vary based on the actual requirement at the
time of selection.
d. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, not legible, without
the required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning any reasons and
no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. There will be no separate
communication to any candidates on their non-selection at any stage.
e. Outstation candidates will be reimbursed II class to and fro train fare by the shortest
route, if they are short listed for the interview.
f. Appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to being found medically fit
by the Companys Medical Authorities. In respect of Persons with Disability, the
degree of disability that the candidate should have, for consideration under the
category, will be as prescribed by Government norms.
g. Only Indian Nationals needs to apply.
