ANSWER ANY TWO QUESTIONS FROM THE FOLLOWING

6) A sphere of 50mm diameter is cut by a section plane at a distance 15mm from its
centre. It is placed centrally over the frustum of a square pyramid of base side
60mm, top side 40mm and height of 40mm. Draw isometric view of the
arrangement.

7) A cone of base diameter 50mmand axis 60mm is resting on its base on the
H.P. A section plane perpendicular to V.P and inclined at 45 0 to H.P., bisects
the axis of the cone. Draw the development of its lateral surface.
8) A tetrahedron of 60mm long edges is lying on one of its faces with an edge
perpendicular to the V.P. its cut by a sectional plane so that the true shape of
the section is an isosceles triangle of base 30mm and altitude 40mm. Find the
inclination of the section plane with H.P. and draw the front view, sectional top
view and true shape of the section.

9) The front and top views of 80mm long line PQ measures 70mm and 60mm
respectively. The end P is on H.P. and the end Q is on V.P. draw the projection
of line PQ and determine its inclination with H.P. and the V.P. Locate the
traces.

A circular plane of diameter 60mm has one of its ends of the diameter in
the H.P. and while the other end is in V.P. The plane is inclined at 30 0 to H.P.
and 600 to V.P. draw its projections.

Draw the projections of cone of base diameter 50mm and axis height
70mm when it is resting on one of its generators on the ground and inclined
at 300 to V.P. take apex nearer to xy.

A square hole of side 25mm is cut in a cylindrical drum of base diameter

50mm and axis height 70 mm. The faces of the hole are inclined at 45 0 to H.P
and axis intersects with that of the drum at right angles. Draw the
development of its lateral surface.

A horizontal cylinder of 100mm diameter is completely penetrated by
another cylinder of 70mm diameter and their axis bisects each other. Draw
the projection of the combination and show curves of intersection.
