St.

Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur is the


oldest Catholic College in Kerala. It was established
in 1919 as a Second Grade College affiliated to the
University of Madras. It was the earliest First Grade
College in the erstwhile princely State of Cochin and
is, at present, one of the largest and most reputed of
the Arts and Science Colleges in Kerala.
The College is now affiliated to the University of
Calicut. It is managed by the Archdiocese of Thrissur.
At the national level, the college has been reaccredited with 3.58 on four point scale at A Grade.
College enjoys a unique status in the University of
Calicut for high academic results, excellence in
sports and cultural activities. The UGC granted
Autonomous Status to the College from 13.06.2014
onwards and Sri. Oommen Chandy, the Honble
Chief Minister of Kerala formally declared the same
on 16.09.2014 at a solemn function held here.

FEES CONCESSIONS AND STIPENDS
