ATTN FARMERS:

Dont use dicamba in

the heat of the day!

The use of dicamba for control of

broadleaved weeds in grassy crops such
as wheat is a common occurrence in the
spring. However, caution is necessary when
using products with this active ingredient.
Trade names for dicamba include
Banvel, Clarity, Diablo, Sterling, Vanquish
and Vision. Brand names of products with
dicamba as one of the main ingredients
include: Escalade, Marksmen, One-Time,
Q4, Quincept, Status, Weedmaster, and
Yukon.
Dicamba is highly volatile at
temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
If temperatures reach 85 degrees or more
at any time during the three to four days
following application, the product will
volatilize and may move up to five miles
and injure susceptible crops.

Crop injury can occur on peas, lentils,
chickpeas, canola, alfalfa, mustard, flax,
and many other broad leaved crops.
Over the next several days,
temperatures have been forecast to be in
the 90s.

I would like to caution growers on
the use of dicamba products at this time as
volatilization drift may occur, resulting in
crop injury, said Shelley Mills of the Valley
County MSU Extension office.

The Chappy Award

Getting the nod from the Milk River Catfish Classic committee to receive the
5th Annual Aaron Chappy Chatten Memorial Award was Dave Flaten. His son
Brenner presented the unique award to his dad at the Famous Midnight Weighins. Dave has been one of those guys behind the scenes since the tournament
began and has helped making the Cat Classic what it is today which is exactly
what the Chappy Award is all about. Congrats, Dave, you earned it!

Catfish Classic. All-Awards out of Lewistown provide all
the trophies to all the tournaments on the Montana Cats

Armour placed 9th at this years Cat Classic. Below is

Sign-ups underway for Top 40

After much thought and debate, the Milk River

Catfish Classic committee has come up with a new game
plan for sign-ups as the 16th annual event was filled to
the brim back in January.

The Top 40 teams from this past Saturday get first
chance to sign up from now until January 1st, 2016.
Teams in the top 40 have to keep their identical teams
they cant switch partners in order to secure that spot.

On January 2nd the remaining spots will be open
to anyone. Should they get over 40 teams on that date
(which Brenner Flaten feels that will be unlikely) then
there will be a drawing to see which 40 teams get in.
We took a consensus from a lot of the anglers
and they agreed this was a good way go, Brenner said.
Plus, it gives an extra incentive to place in the top 40
next year.

Next years entry fee is $100 up from the past $50,
but will still be 100% cash payback. Instead of $4,000
paid out this year it will be $8,000 cash paid out in 2016,
and that will help put some extra money into the pockets
of those who cant afford themselves in the calcutta.

Kids to Fish program allows youths to borrow fishing gear

A popular Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region
6 program that allows children and their families to
check out free fishing rods and tackle is in full swing
again this year.

Just in time for summer fishing, FWP staff is in the
process of restocking the 49 (and counting) different
location sites across Montanas Hi-Line. The Kids to
Fish program lets youngsters check out fishing rods
and reels and basic tackle, such as hooks, bobbers, and
sinkers. Typically, eight rods are at each location, and a
tackle box is available to borrow/use the available tackle.

Nationally known rod and reel manufacturers and
tackle retailers, D & G Sports & Western in Glasgow,
and Strombergs Sinclair and the North 40 Outfitters
store in Havre give FWP substantial discounts that help
keep the program sustainable.

FWP Region 6 Information and Education intern
Randy Hopkins, a senior at Montana State University
in Bozeman, has been busy maintaining the gear and
helping resupply the sites this month. Just because
someone doesnt have a fishing rod doesnt mean they
shouldnt be able to go fishing, Randy said. Whether
its a cousin in town that wants to go fishing, or just an
extra pole is needed for catfishing on the Milk River, we
want as many kids as possible to be able to go out and
fish.
The many business owners and other folks who
participate in the program deserve special thanks, adds
Marc Kloker, Region 6 Information and Education
Program Manager. Theyre helping a lot of kids have
fun on the water this summer.
The sturdy loaner rods come already rigged with
bobbers, split-shot and hooks. Youngsters are required
to sign out the equipment at the site and return it in
good working order within a reasonable amount of time.
Please remember that these rods are to be BROUGHT
BACK to the loaner location, even if damaged. If poles
are continually lost or stolen, the program will need to

make the necessary changes and location sites may be

removed.
More than 400 fishing rods are available to be
checked out from the outlets by individuals, families,
organizations, church groups and schools. If you have
any questions about the program, or are interested
in having poles available at other locations in your
community, please contact Kloker at 406-228-3704.

ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS!

Laugh-out-loud comedy debuts at Fort Peck Summer Theatre

The run-away hit of the 2012 Broadway season, this
musical farce, making its Northwest premier, features
everything that audiences love: physical comedy,
mistaken identity, gender-bending disguises, stage
combat and a love story, all underscored with Beattles
style music performed by a live skiffle band (Evan
Goldhahn, John Knispel, Haley Owens, Morgan Phelps
and Luree Green-Chappell).

FPST Artistic Director Andy Meyers plays Francis
Henshall (The titular One Man), a role created by James
Corden, current host of CBS The Late Late Show. Meyers
has recruited guest director Trey Compton to navigate
him and the rest of the cast through the demanding
roles. The two first worked together in Monty Pythons
Spamalot in Sanibel Island, FL.

Regarding Compton, Meyers says, I cant imagine
anyone else as our director. This is the most demanding
role I have tackled: its scary to be so far out of my box
and throwing any inhibitions out the window. I am
grateful and thrilled to have Trey here, as we have a
great mutual respect and working relationship. I trust
him 100%, leading us with his amazing talent, patience,
knowledge and creativity.
That admiration is echoed by Compton, who
says, Andys comedy is brutally honest and he has an
incredible understanding of the timing and physicality.
This role demands that exact skill set. I am thrilled to

BREAKING: Enviro Sugardaddy,

Swiss Billionaire Under Fire

Just under one month ago, I asked the question:

Why is a Swiss billionaire calling the shots in Montana?

Hansjorg Wyss (photo on left) is one of the main
backers of the controversial American Prairie Reserve
project which is buying out ranches in Northeastern
Montana. Hes also a big contributor to several dark
money environmental groups posing as sportsmen
in order to help advance the Democratic party agenda
here in Montana. (In fact, hes donated $132 million to
186 different liberal groups since 2002)
But now, the environmental sugardaddy is under
fire, as The Daily Callers Richard Pollock reports the
breaking news story that Wyss, who donated $5 million
to a Hillary Clinton womens project, is accused of
repeated sex abuse. Pollock not only details how Wyss
already settled one sexual abuse case in federal court,
but how the Swiss billionaires company has faced legal
troubles as well.
Heres the story from The Daily Caller: Hillarys
No Ceilings Project Accepted $5 Million From Sexual
Abuser

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clintons
No Ceilings womens empowerment project at the
Clinton Foundation accepted a $5 million commitment
last December from a Swiss billionaire even as his lawyers
were fighting in federal court to hide his darkest secret
a long record of sexually abusing women.
Hansjorg Wyss, a generous donor to major liberal

groups like the Center for American Progress and longtime

financial patron of Clinton Campaign Chairman John
Podesta, also launched a Womens Equality Program
at his $2.1 billion Wyss Foundation. His net worth is
estimated at $6.1 billion.

At issue in the federal district court case was a $1.5
million settlement of a suit brought by Jacqueline Long,
a Colorado woman who charged that Wyss brutally
and sexually abused her for years while serving as his
employee.

Long was not the only one to complain of sexual
abuse at the hands of Wyss, as Pollock reports. Neither
the Clinton Foundation nor the Wyss Foundation
responded to The Daily Callers requests for comment.

Wyss is no stranger to federal judges or prosecutors.
In 2011, Synthes attorneys settled multiple criminal
charges brought against it in 2009 by the Department of
Justice after the firm conducted illegal spinal medical tests
that killed four people on operating tables.
Wysss top four executives went to jail and his
company was forced to pay $23 million in fines for
violating the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. But Wyss was
never indicted, even though he was named as Person No.
7 in the original indictment, which said company memos
showed Wyss authorized the tests to go forward without
FDA approval.
