The different Account Groups use different screen layouts. Therefore not all of the
mentioned fields are necessarily visible when creating a customer.
1. Choose Enter.
2. On the Create Customer: General Data screen; on the Address tab, enter:
- Title, Name
- Search term1
- Street, House number, Postal Code, City, Country, Region
- Choose More fields to open up the street Address section and enter Time Zone,
Transportation Zone
- Language, Telephone, Fax.
3. On the Control Data tab, enter Vendor (optional).
4. On the Payment transactions tab, enter Country, Bank Key, and Bank Account.
For the relevant customers set the flag to Collection Auth.
5. On the Contact Person tab, enter Name, First Name, and Function.
6. Choose Company Code Data.
7. On the Account Management tab, enter the adequate Recon. Account, Sort key, and the
adequate Cash mgmt group (domestic / foreign).
8. On the Payment transactions tab, enter Terms of Payment and select Payment History record. If
relevant, maintain the Payment Methods (For Example, AE (account group YB01)..
9. On the Correspondence tab, enter Dunn. Procedure and Bank Statement (account group YB01).
10. Choose Sales Area Data.
11. On the Sales tab, enter Sales District, (account group YBAC) Customer Group, (account group
YB01), Currency, Price group, (account group YBAC) Cust. Price. proc., and Cust.Stats.Grp
(account group YB01)..
12. On the Shipping tab, enter Delivery priority, Shipping conditions, Delivering Plant, (account
groups YB01, YB03, YBEC, YBVC) and select Order combination.
13. On the Billing document tab, enter Incoterms, Incoterm part 2, Terms of payment, Account
assignment group and Tax classification.

For Account group YB02 you have to select the right Partner Functions.

14. Choose Save.

Result
The customer master is created in the system. To view a display of the customer created in the
system do the following:
Option 1 via SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI):

Run the transaction XD03 or use the menu path Logistics Sales and Distribution Master Data
Business Partner Customer Display Complete.
Option 2 via SAP NetWeaver Business Client (SAP NWBC):

Use the role SAP_BPR_AR_CLERK-K (Accounts Receivable Manager) to go to Accounts


Receivable Customers. Select the customer and choose Display.

If the ship-to address is different than the sold-to address, go to step 1.1.1.

Create Ship-to Master Record

Use
In this activity, you create the ship-to master record.

This activity is only necessary if the ship-to address and the sold-to address differ.

Procedure
1. Access the transaction choosing one of the following navigation options:

4. On the Create Customer: General Data screen, on the Address tab, enter:
- Title, Name
- Search term1
- Street, House number, Postal Code, City, Country, and Region,
- Choose More fields to open up the street Address section and enter Time Zone,

5. Choose Sales Area Data.
6. On the Sales tab, enter the Pricing Procedure (Cust.pric.proc.).
7. On the Shipping tab, enter Delivery priority, Shipping conditions, Delivering Plant, Max. Partial
deliveries and select Order combination
8. On the Billing document tab, enter Tax classification.
9. Choose Save.

Result
The Ship-to master record is created in the system. To view a display of the customer created in the
system do the following:
Option 1 via SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI):

Assign Ship-to Master Record to Sold-to Master Record

Use
In this activity, you assign the ship-to master record to the sold-to master record.

Procedure
Option 1: SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI)
1. Access the transaction choosing one of the following navigation options:

2. On the Customer Change: initial screen, enter Customer (number), Sales Organization, and
Distribution channel and Division.
3. Choose Sales Area Data.
4. On the Partner Functions tab, enter Partner Function (SH) together with the corresponding
Customer number (created in previous step).
5. Choose Save.
Option 2: SAP NetWeaver Business Client (SAP NWBC) via business role
1. Access the transaction as follows:

2. Select the line with the Sold-to-Customer.


3. Choose Change.
4. On the Customer Change: initial screen, enter Customer (number), Sales Organization, and
Distribution channel and Division.

6. On the Partner Functions tab, enter Partner Function (SH) together with the corresponding
Customer number (created in previous step).
7. Choose Save.

Result
The sold-to-master record is created in the system. To view a display of the customer created in the
system do the following:

Update Credit Master Record for Customer

Use
In this activity, you update the credit master record for the customer.

Procedure
Option 1: SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI)
1. Access the transaction choosing one of the following navigation options:

2. On the Customer Credit Management: Initial screen, enter customer number, Credit control area
and select Status.
3. Choose Enter.
4. On the Customer Credit Management Change: Status screen, enter the Credit limit.
5. Choose Save.

Option 2: SAP NetWeaver Business Client (SAP NWBC) via business role
1. Access the transaction choosing one of the following navigation options:

2. Select the line with the customer you want to change.


3. Choose Edit Credit Limit.
4. On the Customer Credit Management Change: Initial screen, enter customer number, Credit
control area and select Status.
5. Choose Enter.
6. On the Customer Credit Management Change: Status screen, enter the Credit limit.
7. Choose Save.

Result
The customer credit master record is updated. To view a display of the updated customer credit in
the system, do the following:

Use
In this activity, you create the CPD Customer.

Procedure
1. Access the transaction choosing one of the following navigation options:

4. On the Create Customer: General Data screen, on the Address tab, enter Title, Name and
Search term1 and Country. Select a Language.
5. Choose Company Code Data.
6. On the Account Management tab, enter the adequate Recon. Account, Sort key and adequate
Cash mgmt group (domestic / foreign).
7. On the Payment transactions tab, enter Terms of Payment, a Tolerance Group and the payment
method C.
8. On the Correspondence tab, enter Dunn.Procedure and an account memo (for example, onetime customer).
9. Choose Sales Area Data.
10. On the Sales tab enter the adequate Customer group, Cust.pric.proc. and Cust.Stats.Grp.
11. On the Shipping tab enter Delivery Priority, Shipping Conditions and the adequate Delivering
Plant as well as the Max. partial deliveries.
12. On the Billing Documents tab enter in Delivery and payment terms the Incoterms and Terms of
payment, in Accounting the Acct. assgmt. group and in Taxes the tax classification 1.

13. Choose Save.

Result
The CPD customer master is created in the system. To view a display of the customer created in the
system, do as follows:

Option 1 via SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI):

Run the transaction XD03 or use the menu path Logistics Sales and Distribution Master Data

Option 2 via SAP NetWeaver Business Client (SAP NWBC):

Use the role SAP_BPR_SALESPERSON-K (Pricing Specialist) to go to Sales Customers. Select


the customer and choose Display.
Use the role SAP_BPR_AR_CLERK-K (Accounts Receivable Manager) to go to Accounts
Receivable Customers. Select the customer and choose Display.

Use
In this activity, you create the Dummy customer master.

Procedure

10. Choose Save.

Result
The dummy customer master is created in the system. To view a display of the customer created in
the system, do as follows:

Create Customer Master Data (Accounts Receivable)

Use
In this activity, you create the customer master record in accounts receivable accounting.

The creation of customer master data in accounts receivable accounting does not
include any customer master data needed for the Sales and Distribution application

(SAP ERP SD). Therefore this process step should only be executed if processes in
SAP ERP SD are not used.

Do not proceed with this section if processes of Sales and Distribution application (SAP
ERP SD) are applied. In this case refer to section Create Customer Master (Centrally) in
this document.

Prerequisites
No SAP ERP SD functionality in scope.

Procedure

for account group YB01).
For the relevant customers, set the flag Collection Auth.
6. Choose Company Code Data.
7. On the Account Management tab page, enter the adequate Recon. Account, Sort key, adequate
Cash mgmt group (domestic / foreign).
8. On the Payment transactions tab page, enter Terms of Payment. If relevant, maintain the
Payment Methods (for example AE) (account group YB01).
9. On the Correspondence tab page, enter Dunn. Procedure and Bank statement (account group
YB01).
10. Choose Save.

Result
You created the customer master in the system. To view a display of the customer created in the
system:

Run the transaction FD03 or use the menu path Accounting Accounts Receivable Master
Records Display.
Option 2 via SAP NetWeaver Business Client (SAP NWBC):

In this activity, you create the CPD Customer.
