Case 1: A Workaholics Dilemma

1. Do you agree with the views expressed by Mr. X? Justify and explain your answer?
-Yes I agree with the views of Mr. X, because Mr. X and few of his colleagues had
stressed the need to cultivate calmness and composure to improve the quality of output,
as many others have rejected the idea as one that would dampen the motivation by
smothering the spirit of dynamism. There is a need in this modern world which is full of
unexpectations with more problems affecting the mentality of individuals. So the heath
and mentality of the individual in the organization to be considered in a effective manner.
2. If you agree with the views expressed by Mr. Y give valid reasons for your support?
- No I dont agree with the views which are being expressed by Mr. Y because he is in the
opposition of the fact that some of the colleagues are making a plan to establish one mind
stilling activities for the employees in the organization.
Mr. Y is in the view that what we will do in these activities is fine at some point of time at
home. But a person with a from an organizational point of view cannot be able to handle
so much activities. In carrying out such activities organizational productivity should not
be overlooked upon.
His views are more on the negative side. Its true that he his more concern about the
organization but he should be more involve in the initiative taken by the organization.
3.An organization is just a collection of individuals? Do you agree with this statement?
Explain your answer?
- No I dont agree with the statement raised in the question as An organization is just a
collection of individuals, as in an organization the people or the employees who work
are not mere an individuals they are the assets of the organization without which the
company cannot survive.
An employee in the organization is more important than the output and profits achieved
in the organization. An organization with no respect or no attention to the employees in
the organization suffers in the long run.
An organization as much as it do for the maintaining the status and image of the company
in the market should equally do more for the employees in the organization. Employees
should feel more at home in the organization.

4. According to you what is the solution to this problem? Justify your answer?
- According to me the solution would to implement the initiative planned by the managers
in the organization for the betterment of the employees. According to me the debate over
the implementation was a good initiative as there was exchange of views from the various
people in power of the organization, as you can exchange the positive and negative views
about the initiative of the plan.
In todays modern world there is more competition in the business world and indirectly

the pressure comes on the employees working in the organization, so as to improve the
productivity or the results organization should look forward towards the heath of the
employees.
