Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

I am redeemed and restored to a right relationship with God.

I Peter 1:18
I will obey and honor my parents.
Luke 2:49
I am empowered by the Holy Spirit for ministry.
Luke 3:22

Jesus blood washes away our sins and gives us the power to
live a life set apart from the world.

Matthew 5:48, So be perfect even as your Father in heaven
is perfect.

Some kids think that they can get away with doing things that are
wrong and sinful because they have seen their parents doing sinful
things. Parents are not perfect. Even the best father in the world cannot
wash away the sins of his children. Babies get their blood from their
father. Strengths and weaknesses are passed down through the fathers
blood to their children. Weaknesses to give in to certain tempatations
and sins are also passed down from one generation to the next. Jesus
had a human mother, and a human father, but His real father was God.
God is holy so there was no sin in His blood to pass down to His Son,
Jesus. Therefore, Jesus was not born with a sinful heart and sinful desires
like you and me. His heart was perfectly pure from the start. As He grew
up here on earth He had to make choices not to sin. He was tempted
but never sinned. If He had sinned just once His blood could not have
washed away our sins. Only sinless blood could get rid of the sins of the
whole world. When you belive in Jesus and the power of His blood you
become a child of God. You are in the family of God and His Son has
paid the consequences of your sin. God then becomes your Father. He is
a faithful and just Father who forgives you when you admit your sin. He
will cleanse you from all wrong doings.
