- On the line of scrimmage, all offensive linemen assume a three point stance in
formation called. The team is put into action on the line of scrimmage by the
Quarterback calling out the cadence.
CADENCE SYSTEM

1. “1st Sound” - The QB at the line of scrimmage will look over his offensive
formation to see everyone is in position and set. On the command “HIKE” ball
is snapped.

2. “Quick” - The QB at the line of scrimmage calls defensive recognition call,
double digit then set and ball is snapped.

3. “Audible” - The QB at the line of scrimmage calls defensive recognitioa call,
double digit then set, QB must now pause to let line be set for one full second

4. "Freeze Cadence” We will use this versus stemming defenses in order to
facilitate the recognition of fronts and coverege’s. This is a time
process so we must get to the line as soon as possible. The QB at the line will
false cadence to a snap count of one. He will then call the live cadence which
was called in the huddle.

If the QB repeats the snap count in the cadence system, he may change the play at the line of
scrimmage. Only check to play that was called in the huddle,
“Check with Me” - The QB will give two plays in the huddle and thea select the best of the
two at the line, according to the front and coverage.
“Alert” - The QB will have the ability at the L.O.S. to change the play called to our quick
passing game .
“Color Call” - From game to game, we may designate a color for a specific play vs. a
particular defense.
