Good morning my name is Peter McAllister and today I am joined by sporting legend
Jonny Wilkinson. I would like to ask a few questions regarding your sporting history
and a bit of background information on you as a person, if thats ok by you?!
What age were you when you realised that you could make rugby your profession?!
Were you advised to do other studies in case your career didnt take off? Or did you
take a chance?!
You started your career at London Wasps, why did you move up to the cold darkness
of Newcastle? !
Was the fact that Steve Black didnt have his contract renewed one of the deciding
factors for you in your decision to move to France?!
Kris Walden was always a player that people said should have pushed you more for an
England call up, whats your thoughts on that?!
Having seen your career given a boost after the move to Toulon do you feel that you
should have done it sooner?!

 You are adored in France as much as you are in England, is there a difference in the
way that the press treat you?!
What are your plans now that you are retired?!

I am writing to you today in regards to joining the Rugby team. I understand that there is a lot
of interest in this sport and as the team has won the league for the last 5 years running. I am
also aware that if you win the title again this year you will become the first high school ever to
achieve 6 consecutive championships, therefore I know that many experienced players will
want to be a part of this team and also some of the players who wont quite make the level at
American Football. !
So I would now like to explain to you the reason I feel that i can be a positive member of the
squad.!
I grew up in England and started to play rugby at the age of 9, I adapted to this game very
quickly and soon found myself not only playing for my school but also a local club, after my
first season I was made captain of the team both for my school and also for my club, whilst
also being the top try scorer for the season. This leads to me then representing my county

which I also had the honour of captaining. I have since then had the honour of captaining
every team that I have played for since then. I have shown commitment to my team, never
missing training or a match, even if I have an injury you will find me at training or at games
encouraging my team-mates, I have also spent a lot of time trying to pass on my expertise to
younger players and enjoy this side of rugby also.!

hopefully will have the chance to show you what I can do on the pitch.!
