Maggi and Smarties.

The research and development wing of the organization has more than 5000 employees. The in
house fundamental research takes place in four centers that include Nestle Institute of Health
Sciences, Nestle Research Centre, Clinical Development Unit and R&D tours.
The Nestle Research Center was one of the first to look at the molecular interaction of probiotics in
the intestines. The product development takes place in 34 Product Technology Centers worldwide.
