The leadership displayed in terms of media relations.

When tragedy of MH370 happens, Malaysia Airlines regrets and told that they
have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 is facing the lost of tracking in
the satellite and that none of those on board survived, the airline declared in its text after
they confirm that the plane has crushed. After that, Malaysia Airline immediately sacks
those employees who did not immediately report about missing plane to prove that they
are concern with this case and prove it to the media. In the media statement, Nufam urged
Putrajaya to reconsider Ahmad Jauhari's status as CEO, given his failure in dealing with
problems relating to the interest of cabin crew, the statement was viewed negatively as it
has openly criticised the MAS administration. Ahmad Jauhari also faced strong criticisms
over the handling of the MH370, which went missing in March, last year. Other than that,
to have a better respond in media relation, Malaysia request for aviation expert in
Australia to prove that the plane meet the accident in the Indian Ocean. Malaysia Prime
Minister Najib Razak said that it was believed the aeroplane's transponder, which emits
an identifying signal was "deliberately disabled" before the plane changed direction and
continued flying for a further seven hours.
Tony fernandes is the CEO of Air Asia Airline. When he knows about missing
flight QZ8501, he quickly made himself available to media but not disappear and
missing, and say that this is the first time Air Asia has experienced such an incident and
he do not know that what went wrong with the flight. Fernandes, sitting next to Indonesia
Air Asia CEO Sunu Widyatmoko, was speaking at the crisis center set up at Juanda
International Airport in Surabaya, where the missing flight took off at 5.36am in the
morning. It was en route to Singapore, and was due to arrive at 8.30am. Fernandes has
been constantly in the spotlight, apologizing for the loss of life. Since he is a twitter user
and he has a million followers, he quickly took to social media to express his sorrow, post
updates and rally his demoralized staff. He mentioned that he is the leader of this
company so he has to take responsibility for what they are going through. He says that he
will be there through these hard times, and he will go through this terrible ordeal together.
He encourages all the relatives of his crew and their passengers to staying strong and
keeping positive through the media.
As a conclusion, disaster of this case can be explain as a murder without a body
because they did not gave a proper speculation explanation to the social media.
Moreover, they are also having the failure of conveying the message speedily. As a
leader, they should convey the message immediately after they have confirmed that the
plane is missing in action. If the Public relation was better managing, it would not be
outrage in the respond of the public. Oppositely, Airasia have doing a great job in
conveying a speedily in the media. Besides, he also expresses his feeling through the
social media and also he is very responsibility after the QZ8501 happens.
