If the .Net 3.0 and 3.5 Framework

should be installed before trying to
install Progress/Epicor. There is a 64
Bit variant to .Net Framework
make sure you install the correct one!

Change Location: C:\Epicor\Crystal Reports XI R2 .Net 3.0 Runtime (03_05_2008)\

Change the default from JUST ME to EVERYONE

install Web
Server.

Restart the setup from

the DVD.
Stop the
OpenEdge 10.1C Service
using
the
Services
control panel and the
MProServe & mProShut
programs with the Task
Manager.

OpenEdge

SQL house, you

Progress 10.1C
installed.

Change defaults of where you want the client

installed and to where you set the network share.

InstallAdmin Console
Find under the
Epicor\Epicor904 folder, the
EpicorUtilities.exe program to
install the Administration
Console.

AdminConsole -Test

Right Click on the Epicor904 System. Choose IMPORT

LICENSE and select your license file.

Right Click on the imported License and choose

Properties. Confirm your User Licenses and
quantities.

Click on the Modules

tab and select the
ENABLE ALL LICENSED
modules to turn on all
your modules. By
default not are set.

AdminConsole Test (2)
Click SHOW LICENSED
to see all your modules.
Compare this with your
list to ensure accuracy.
Finally, click APPLY and
OK to complete the
license installation.

Right click on the Companies to add a company. Fill out

the fields, select your serial number and click OK.

This process takes a fair amount of

time. 10-15 minutes.

AdminConsole -Training

Right Click on the EpicorTrain904 System. Choose IMPORT

LICENSE and select your same license file.

Right Click on each of the EpicorTrain904 Companies and

update the Properties assigning your serial number to each.

Clicking APPLY and OK to each company

after reassigning the Serial Numbers.

Run Conversions
On the SERVER - Open the Admin Tools
for the 904 DB and Run Conversions

This will take a 10-15 minutes to process.

Fixing ConfigFiles
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the
Epicor904\Client\Config folder and right click each of the
default.mfgsys and train.mfgsys files. Use NOTEPAD.EXE to
edit the files. Use FIND on the edit menu, find the text:
HelpServer (all one word)
The line of code, one line below your find result, should read:
<helpServer uri="http://mnepicdoc/Help/" />
update the setting to :
<helpServer uri=\\SERVER\epicor\epic904\help" />

*Replacing SERVER with your servers name.

UpdatingClients & Log-in
Use EpicorClient.msi file from the Epicor904
folder to update the client installation.
Start up an Epicor 9 Client session and allow the
auto update process to run. This puts all the
client programs into the client installation
location.

Log in & Review the training system and new

features.
