Career Highlights:
Designed and implemented the departments first XenDesktop 7.5 VDI and StoreFront solution for a planned
migration; hosted the infrastructure on Windows Server 2012 machines and deployed a collection of Windows
desktops and servers using a combination of Provisioning Services and Machine Creation Services.
Assigned as Technical Lead to a project for the design and implementation of a remote access solution using
Citrix NetScaler 10.1 for application delivery and VPN services with the use of mobile devices.
Successfully migrated and consolidated the departments XenApp server farm from standalone hosts on local
storage to a Fiber Channel SAN-connected vSphere cluster. This resulted in increased scalability, significantly
reduced disk latency across the farm, and ultimately provided a better experience for all Citrix users.
Conducted an audit of the server environment and oversaw the decommissioning of over 50 physical and
virtual servers which were either end-of-life or out-of-service.
Contributed my Linux skills to an ongoing and long-term project plan for migrating all core application and
database services hosted on Solaris systems to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Lead Engineer on an on-going government contract with the Department of Commerce to provide support for
their datacenter environment.
Deployment of the first hosted XenDesktop 5 virtual desktop solution for the company with WAN acceleration.
Migration of company CRM and Managed Services platform to new and more cost-effective solutions.

Improved upon the companys internal SOE by introducing Windows 7 and new deployment technologies.
