Dear Family and Friends,
We hope this letter finds you
doing well and enjoying the
beautiful winter weather. You
may be enjoying the beautiful
sunny weather of CA, or lately
the rainy weather of CA. You
may be like us and living in a
snowy, winter wonderland,
whether in Canada or a snowy
state. Either way, God is glori-
fied through the different,

unique weather of each cli-
mate He has created. There are

They come in completely
covered in snow at times,
chiming for hot chocolate
and ready to get warm
but with HUGE smiles
on their faces. It blesses a
parent’s heart!
The Lord has continued
to bless us with the fi-
nances to pay our rent

traption since we last had a
baby. We feel very blessed!
 We were blessed with a
beautiful new digital crock-
pot by a family in the
church. Dana has missed
her crockpot that is in stor-
age in CA. This family
knew this information and
blessed us with this beauti-
ful, new gift! Thank you
Jesus!

We praise God for His care
and love for our lives!
 Our kids have been so
blessed to thoroughly
enjoy the winter weather
by sledding on their to-
boggan they got for
Christmas as well as a
new one they were re-
cently given by their
grandparents, down the
driveway on the other
grateful for His provi-
sion!
 Our family has stayed
very healthy over this flu
season. Until this past
week or two, our family
had not been sick. We are
so thankful for His care
in our lives!
 We were blessed with a
baby bouncy seat that
vibrates and plays music
by our niece and nephew.
 In order to re-apply for
Dana’s religious worker’s
visa we needed $200 that
we did not have. We are so
thankful to Jesus that our
church has agreed to bless
us with the financial help
that we need for this appli-
cation in the process. Yet
another way that Jehovah
Jireh has met our needs.
Praise Him!

“Killing the ‘ME’ in Me!”

 Dana had the great opportunity to share at the Women of Worth night in Huntsville, Ontario. It is a
monthly women’s meeting where women come together to be encouraged in the Word, through music
and fellowship. Dana’s sister in law, Dottie, and she shared on the value that God sees in us, not based
on who we are, our financial means or our gifting but based solely on who He says we are. He loves
us and values us because of His Son! The Lord has been speaking to Dana about the butterfly. When a
caterpillar is going through it’s metamorphosis it loses its’ head, arms and legs. A painful process that
creates a beautiful change. Caterpillars are also known to cannibalize one another. They will eat other
caterpillars as well as those that are in their chrysalis. The most vulnerable state a caterpillar could be
in, and other caterpillars will destroy them. We can often do that as the church to one another. God is
changing us and making us into beautiful creatures. We have got to stop damaging one another and
realize that each person plays a part in His plan. Romans 12 speaks of this. It first talks of the transfor-
mation that God does in our lives in Romans 12:2 and then goes on to speak of the body needing
every part to function. Transformation and supporting one another in the body of Christ goes hand in
hand. We all play a part and each part is extremely important, no matter how little it may seem.

 The Lord shared with Dana that part of the purpose of this faith walk He has had our family on is to
kill the “ME” in us! Our flesh must die in order to be used by Him in the way He wants to use us in
ministry or otherwise. We must be out of the way so He can accomplish His works through us. This
has been a very painful process but we know a very necessary one. This month has been especially
hard in this process as the finances have been more scarce than even in past months. We were not
understanding why this was so. At a recent intercession our family was prayed for and the Lord
showed some of the ladies that He was wanting us to share more of our needs with the Body as this
process of living by faith is not about us. It is about killing our flesh and about wakening the church to
the need to be a part of this process we are on. Dana was asked to share all of our needs and a few
ladies blessed our family that evening with much needed funds. This helped to cover the tithe off of
the gifts, Dana’s upcoming Dr. appointment, pay for their monthly phone plan and last month’s stor-
age fee. We are thankful for God’s continuing guidance in our lives. He is Faithful!

 We are still needing prayer supporters - we are
working on the front lines here in the north.
 Housing needs for the spring and storage items
brought up from CA.
 We need wisdom and resources in the securing
of a new family vehicle.
 We need more monthly support for living costs
and costs for baby appt’s and needs.
What’s Been Happening in Canada?
 The course that Rory has been teaching
on the Foundations of the Faith has con-
tinued to go well and Rory has received a
lot of positive feedback. It is coming to a
close in one more week. What an awe-
some thing to see how God has shown up
in such a huge way to change people’s

lives through His truths. God is so faith-
ful!
 After the Foundations Course ends this
month, Rory will be packaging the infor-
mation from the course for the partici-
pants as well as for future teaching op-

portunities and for increasing the
churches “teachings library.”
 We have been so blessed to have an
amazing Dr. for Dana up until this time
in our good friend, Dr. Laura Lewis. We
are so thankful for all she has done.
Laura does not “deliver” so she has now
released Dana over to the Dr. who will
deliver the baby. Dana is now in her 3rd
trimester. Time is moving fast and be-
fore we know it, May will be here and

we will have a new bundle of joy! Our
niece just gave birth to a little girl, Chloe
Iron is to sharpen iron … so, within relationship, let’s dig a little...for the glory of God.
Andrew Murray has a book called “Absolute Surrender.“ Interesting title - vital concept. The
book examples 1kings 20:1-4. The King of Syria coming with 32 other kings, invasively, against
the king of Israel. He demanded wealth, wives and children. The responding king was prepared
to utterly be at the Syrian’s pleasure. That is until a message was sent back notifying of the Syr-
ian’s intent to utterly dominate and ransack their city as well. Then the answer was.. ”uhm
….no!” Israel’s King had found his own surrender ceiling.
The question that came was - where is mine? Do we all have a limit to what we are willing to do
- even for God? Is there a limit to our willingness, repentance or even obedience? How far does
our surrender go? Do some of us like our middle class too much. Are we willing to sell our over-
priced, ego feeding, possessions and do with less? Would we at least be satisfied with needs
fulfilled & give the excess to the church or the needy? Would we risk opinions of others for God’s
good pleasure in not laughing at perverse jokes, having “potty mouth” or having the very things
Christ died for as the mainstay of our “entertainment?” Could we wreak havoc on self justifica-
tion with another’s faults when faced with criticism & ask God for what’s applicable? Could
some of us have the courage to approach God as did David & say “try me oh Lord and see if
there is any unclean way in me” ? How often have we twisted God’s word to calm unfamiliar
conviction and sooth our self righteous, seared, consciences?
I guess the question, ever looming, in-front of all of us is the same - “where is the daily cross in
our Christianity? Has the “’me’ in me” truly died so that Christ may have His way?
Here’s some family needs. Please prayerfully help us as we help those - so dear to the Lord.
Some of our present needs:
a.) Dana’s pregnancy blood work (needing to be done this week),
b.) Dana’s required ultrasound - coming on March 3’rd ($190)
c.) Storage payment for February - over due ($170) as well as for March (another $170)
d.) Car payment ($220)
e.) Phone ($50)
f.) Monthly living costs for food, rent, storage, gas and insurance as well as tithe to name a few.
Family … friends, our monthly living needs are $3000, yet, our current financial incoming is
about $2000 short of what we are needing.
Please pray for favor with the government for Dana’s immigration process. This is needed
A.S.A.P. for Dana’s health coverage for the birth.
Please also pray that we’d be able to keep on making the most of opportunities while keeping
grounded in the value of family and the absolute life blood of our First Love - prioritizing our
hidden life and the intimacy of the “secret place.”
