the population was analyzed according to age and sex, demonstrating that masculine sex
is the most affected one by the disease in the ages from 35 to 44, the osteoarthrosis was
the most frequent cause of this affection. The majority of the patients had a satisfactory
evolution with the acupunture method, obtaining a total relief of the pain between the 16
and 20 treatment sessions. The method is more effective when it is applied daily; there
were minimum adverse reactions considering it as an effective and innocuous method.
