licensing, Create/modify clusters, add/remove ESX hosts, Manage
virtual networking, Manage scheduled tasks, Local user management,
Troubleshooting issues with service console processes and services,
Local physical disk management, System logs management, NTP
management, VMware tools install/upgrade/config, Configure CD/floppy
media, Manage snapshots, Create/Remove VMs, Migrate VM to different
host/datastore, Install/Configure P2V software (VMware converter,
Platespin, etc), Manage P2V task, Configure Guest OS before and after
P2V conversion, Installation of Tivoli endpoint and ITM6, Setup IBM RSA
SNMP monitoring, Dell DRAC SNMP monitoring, Vmware scripts
monitoring, vCenter SNMP monitoring, Install SCM, Manage Service
Console firewall, Install patches via service console and Update
Manager, Security incident management, Install/configure VCB,
Install/configure service console backup agent (TSM), Server/system
disaster recovery, Develop Backup and Recovery Plan, capacity
management of ESX hosts (disk space, CPU, etc), analysis and
proposals), Resource pools management.
VMWare&Citrix products knowledge: VMware ESX 2.x, VMware ESX
3.x VSphere 4, Citrix XenServer 5.x
Position- since 2008: System Engineer (SE) - IBM IDC SSO Wintel
Services 2nd level support.
Responsibilities: OS support, monitoring and troubleshooting
(Windows Server NT/2000/2003/2008 Standard and Enterprise
Editions), Hardware support, monitoring and troubleshooting, Server
installation, configuration and deactivation, User Administration, DNS,
WINS, DHCP and Active Directory support and troubleshooting, Backup
and Restore Client support, Server evidence support (ARS Inventory),
IBM Tivoli endpoints installation and troubleshooting, APAR`s
implementation, Terminal services troubleshooting, Process compliancy,
quality and productivity of servers and services within the area of
responsibility, monitoring, controlling and operating complex computer
systems, escalation of issues, manage VMWare infrastructure – ESX
Servers and Virtual Machines, Microsoft Virtualization. Creating and
update workflows and documentation.
