The First week

Mar 2, 2015

Today was the first day, I was at Nobel Education

USA company and attended a meeting with all
staffs.
Observation: the boss was very powerful and strict,
someone late and do not attended in this meeting
because the boss said to them being out. However,
I liked attending the meeting because I could learn
about how the tasks are assigned and etc.....
Mr. Vu Manh Hung guided me to visit the officers
of the company
After that, I and Mr Hung talked together about the
relative documents and scheduled the actual work.
During my internship time, Mr Hung, who is the
deputy director of the company, will instruct and
help me in my work.
The first time we met, I actually impressed with his
talk which was not only friendly but also very
powerful.
After all, I returned the Studying abroad
Counseling
Department and submitted
my
documents. The atmosphere seems very strict, so
that I was very nervous untill when I came back my

Today I wore very neat, polite and went to work as

a real company employee. I felt so different, more
mature and responsible than when I was a student.
After my arrival, I acquainted with people in the
department, said hello with my new colleagues.
I observed carefully how people work and learned
as a new employee actually.
I learnt more about the rules work, an overview
of the Studying abroad Counseling Department. I
realized it was too different from when I was in
university which made me so excited about every
new things.
Everything was strange with me, I tried my best to
learn, understand and remember all what I was
introduced.
I found that this was a pleasant working
environment, I had many things to familiarize
myself with.

Today I wore polite as yesterday and went to work

but not shy, and afraid, I relaxed than the first one
because my colleagues are very friendly,
communicative and humorous.
I started to get familiar with the new work of the
department.
Today my primary mission was to read the
aspiration papers in English of the students who
want to go abroad for studying, classify and
dispose them according to the countries they want.
This was an easy work( e k nen khang dinh nhu vay
e nen viet no duong nhu la 1 viec don gian

nhung......) but it took me much time because there

were a lot of papers and the information was too
detail so I had to take time for reading all carefully
before classifying and sorting.
After working, I had chance to talk with Mr.
John Layen, a teacher of the Nobel English Center.
This time was very useful with me to practice my
English especially speaking and listening skills as
well as communicating skill.

The third working day, I arrived early because

the previous days I lost my ways 4 hours, because
I could not remember all the new strange ways in
Ha Noi. So today I left my room earlier and found
the way to my company.
My duty today was to read and sorted the records
of students and classified them based on the
country in which the students want to study abroad,
including the UK, USA, Japan, Australia, New
Zealand, Canada ... and the estimated time they
will fly.
Indeed, this work is not difficult, but it required
employees tohave the patience to read the
introduction and aspirations of students in English
then classified.
This task was not easy as I thought, before that I
thought It maybe take only about one to two hours
to complete and I will do other things after that,
but the fact that I had lost all day work to sort about
a half of the records.

Today I arrived early like yesterday and I thought

that if I did not do anything, it would not good
instead of that I did.( lng cng va thieu V sau
would not)
Before work, I cleaned the office, arranged the
papers and turned the machine on. Although this
was not in my work schedule I still did( nn dung v
mang tinh formal nghia la thuc hien, k sd still khi
da dung mde nhuong bo) because I thought that "I
am a new employee and this is what I should do".
After all, I continued to sort the students records. It
took me one morning work for completing ( sai cau
truc) all. I did everything seem okay.(sd formal
words)
At that time, when I completed my work, I realized
that the number of students who wish to study in
the US, Australia is largest, next to Japan, the UK,
New Zealand and Canada.( 2 nuoc sao dung is??)
Working is too different from study( thuc te thi
khac xa ly thuyet hoc o truong), in studying I just
learnt and practiced with my friend and it was very
comfortable all time. But when in company,
everything is actually different, working
always must be under pressure.

As usual, in Saturday, my company just work a half

of day, but today is Mar 7th and tomorrow is The
Women s day 8/3. So we held an even for female
staffs. And the even would be held in the afternoon.
My work today was to handle the information
of website fanpage of the Studying abroad
Counseling Department. I used the internet and got
the information of D.B University, Japan which
was in English and translated into Vietnamese.
After that, I had to edited all from words to
sentences which in Vietnamese before posting on
the fanpage and shared with everybody.

In the afternoon, I had a small party with the staffs

of the company to celebrated The women day
8/3, in this, I had chance to exchange, chat with
the colleagues, learn more experience from their
sharing after work (sai dng ng tu to inf va lng
cng)

The Second week:

This is the second week of my internship at the company, I hope in this week I will have
more opportunities to accumulate the rewarding experiences for myself now and my
future.

Mar 9, 2015

Today was the first day of the new week so that I

thought I should go to the company a little early to
make a good impression. As a result, I had to wait
a few minutes, because i came too early and the
door still closed.
Today, as planned, our company had a meeting to
announce the work would be done during the week.
During the meeting, I was tasked as a secretary to
record the content. In fact, this work was not my
ability, but I found it quite interesting; because I
had to listened intently to be able to record it all
and I could know everything without asking people
about "What I should do or not".
After the meeting, I returned to the room, edited

what I recorded at the meeting and wrote them on

the work board.
In the afternoon, I continued to edit the website
which I was assigned last week.
After a day of work, I continued to feel the
difference between working and learning about: the
environment and atmosphere, as well as the
intensity and pressure of work and more.
Mar 10, 2015

Today, I interviewed Ms. Pham Thi Van - a

successful student studied abroad in Japan, she is
working in Japan - and wrote an announcement of a
meeting to share her experiences of learning and
working when she studied abroad in Japan at 10:00
am on the next day at our office. (Cau qua dai dong
e nhe ). And this announcement must be in both
English and Vietnamese parallel posted on the
website that I managed.
I found that the communication in schools and
companies, especially with clients, is completely
different.( nen sd ctruc A different from B) For
example, when I was in school, people contacted
and worked with me were mostly teachers, friends
we had known each other, but in the company,
when talking to strangers, the communication
requirements are higher: direct, brief, easy to
understand as well as enough information.
And I spoke with Ms. Van parallel interviewed her
to get the basic and real natural information for my
writing after.

2015

This morning, exactly 10 hours -> luc 10 gio sang,

I was present at the place of Ms. Van's talk show,
my work was to take part in this talk and recorded
the information and students' inquiries about
studying in Japan.
The conversation took almost two hours, and I

recorded a lot of stuff from the share to

requirements, concerns and wishes of the students.
After the today talk show, I have collected a large
amount of knowledge about studying in Japan.
And especially during the talk show, Ms. Van had
asked me to talk to the students in English for
testing their English, beside their Japanese. This
made me very happy.
All day today, I felt very happy because I had
learned more from Ms. Vans way how to share
with others our experiences, she is very open and
patience. ( tach cau ra viet la rat nguong mo co ay
vi su coi mo kien nhan,vv)

Today my University had a competition and I

asked my director and my tutor for permission
me to be off a few days to take the exam. I also
promised them in this time I would write and edit
the news of Ms Van's the talk on the day before.
They agreed in the yesterday afternoon so today
I'm not to the company.( ho chap nhan/ cho phep t
nghi bao nhieu ngay cu the??) Instead I was
at Vinh, in my University to prepare for the exam.

This morning I finished exam, and I quickly

returned to Hanoi to continue my internship at the
company.
By the afternoon, I had been in the company.
Everyone was surprised how I could go so fast like
that. I just smiled and started to edit the last steps
of the paper after her talk Van before posting it.
My instructor told me to leave early because of
working immediately it is not good for health.
Although I had->be a little tired but trong mde qhe
k co But hay still nua people cared for me made

me feel very happy ( viet lai la du toi met, toi vui vi

duoc mn quan tam). I did learn a lesson whether in
school or go to work, caring for people around us is
what should do.

As usual, in Saturday, my company just work a half

of day.
My work today was as usual, I arrived early, swept
the house, made tea, arranged papers and turned all
the machine on. And then I was back
my position and checked the new information on
our website.
This afternoon we had a birthday party for
Mrs Nghiem Duong, the company's accountant, a
small party full of laughter. Our boss was also more
friendly, laughing, more and more fun.
Ending two weeks of internship, I felt all things
were quiteokay, fun and smoothly than I had feared
earlier

The Third week:

Two internship weeks passed, I was a little familiar with the work. I hope this third week
I will do morein order to have the new experience.

Mar 16, 2015

Today, I went to the company a little early. I learnt

from the experience last week so this time I only had
to wait about 5 minutes, then someone came and
opened the door.
I entered the room and swept floor, made tea,
arranged papers and turned all the machine on.
Although these were not in my work schedule, I still
did all. If the first day of internship term I thought "I
am a new employee and these are what I should do",

Remark

so today, these are exactly my duty. (cau dieu kien sai

cau truc va lung cung)
As usual, our company had a meeting
to announce the work will be done during the week.
During the meeting, I was tasked as secretary to
record the content.
After the meeting, I returned to the room, edited what
I recorded at the meeting and wrote them on the
work board.
In the afternoon, I continued to edit the website of
the company

Today , I got up earlier than other days and went to

the company because yesterday I kept the key of the
office so I could not late( late la ADJ). I knew that
no one wants to wait others outdoor, especially wait
for a new employee like me.
Before working, I cleaned the office, arranged the
papers and turned the machine on.
Then I worked with computers: read and analyzed
information of study abroad.
What I learned today were to be patient, careful and
meticulous during working. Because the information
about the study abroad is quite long and detail, I read
in both English and Vietnamese then edited into a
system based on each college or university.

Today, I went to work late a bit because I got up

late. .
When I arrived at the company, that was not in
working hour. People asked why I had arrived later
than usual, and then no one blame me.
I continue to read and classify documents

about

study abroad and overseas schools.

After work, I was very happy because, I was
taught how to use the copier and printer and scanner.
So I made a new experience in this internship.

Like everyday, I got up early and went to work.

Before work, I cleaned the office, arranged the
papers and turned the machine on.
Posting information about the school that would
receive the Vietnamese students was my task, today.
The above information is exactly what I have read,
synthesized and edited the day before.
This work lasted hours because there were too many
universities and more detailed information.
Today, I'm a little tired and a little sad because I
really wanted to photocopy the document and not
just sitting and working with the computer. (muon
lam viec gi do nang dong va duoc sd english hon)

Until today I still had to work with the computer, to

enter the information of the day before into the
computer and posted them on the website of the
company.
After posting the information, the instructor asked
me to compile from these information into the
references for customers to read when they arrive at
the company.
Today , I learned how to compile documents in
detail. I realized the information posted on the
Internet should be concise, easy to understand, but
the documents for customers need to be detail, clear
but easy to understand.

As usual, my company just work a half of day on

Saturday.
My task was editing and printing the references for
customers.
After finishing, I rearranged the shelves of books and
documents in the room
Today I had a little joy, that was I was allowed to use
the machines in the room to print what I compiled
yesterday. In addition, I had practiced what I had
been taught the day before.
All of these things mean that everyone in the room
believed me and let me do the other work was not
only clean and sweep the house.
