PREGUNTAS:

I.

WRITE A 150 WORD PARAGRAPH ABOUT A

TOPIC YOU LIKE THE MOST IN
PSYCHOLOGY. USE PRESENT TENSES:
SIMPLE PRESENT WITH BE, (SIMPLE
PRESENT WITH ACTION VERBS (AND
PRESENT PROGRESSIVE.

The self-esteem

I can say I study psychology because I work with children at risk. They are
very delicate situations where

the self-

esteem of the child is hurt and

they

do

not develop in certain areas

there

is

an emotional balance and often

also

physical.
They do not want to play with

friends,

they do not feel good about their

appearance or the way they

behave

is not the same as their classmates.

Child intervention is done by making some simple questions like:
What do you do every day?
Do you play with your friends?
Like how you look?
Do you worry about what will happen tomorrow?
These are questions that you realize the your child has low self-esteem and

work or with which the one with the low self-esteem.

Now I can and work your child's self-esteem, working first their thinking and
exercise takes place in verbalizations as
"I have", "I am", "I", "I can"
In all these utterances different protective factors such as self-esteem, selfconfidence and the environment, autonomy and social competence working.
These verbal attributions are considered a generating source of resilience.
I HAVE
People who love me as I am.
People teach me the rules are not broken.
People who help me when I'm sick.
I AM
A child who my friends want.
Friendly, capable and friendly with my family and friends.
I AM
Willing to take responsibility for my actions.
Sure everything will be fine.
I Can
Talk about things that scare me or disturb me.
Find a way to solve my problems.
Find someone to help me when I need it.
Mistake and mischief without losing the affection of my parents.
Feel and express affection.
This is the part that I like psychology student to learn or study and delve into
this issue to help these children who are and need long that work in that
area, so they can develop freely and they can follow children safe and have
confidence in yourself.

IV. USE PERFECT TENSES (PRESENT PERFECT, and

FUTURE PERFECT) TO TALK ABOUT THE DOWN
SYNDROME.
I have heard many reasons why a child with Down syndrome; It was due to the
extra chromosome condition born.
Chromosomes are small "packages" of genes in the body during pregnancy that
determines how the baby and your body functions formed during pregnancy and
after birth. Typically, babies born with 46 chromosomes, but babies with Down
syndrome have an extra copy of one of these chromosomes. This extra copy
alters the normal development of the body and brain and cause mental and
physical problems in the baby.
Symptoms of Down syndrome vary from person to person and can range from
mild to severe. However, children with Down syndrome have a widely
recognized appearance.
The head may be smaller than normal and abnormally shaped. For example,
the head may be round with a flat area on the back. The inner corner of the
eyes may be rounded instead of pointed.
Common physical signs include:
Decreased muscle tone at birth
Excess skin at the nape
flattened nose
separated skull bones joints (sutures)
Single crease in the palm of your hand
Ears small
Small mouth
Upward slanting eyes
Wide, short hands with short fingers
White spots on the colored part of the eye (Brushfield spots)
Children with Down syndrome are extremely careful people are very sociable, if
stimulated from an early age, can develop in any activity involving art. dance,
which are very sensitive and loving, are people able to desembolverse a
workplace under supervision
They are exceptional people and are very friendly.

BIPOLAR DISORDER

In

this

reading

we

have

known

it

is

bipolar

disorder

it is said that people who suffer from this disorder have highs and lows in
your mood.
Doctors

classify

bipolar

disorder as a disorder of
mood.
11TA20151DUED

Those with the disorder live an extreme experience change their moods,
their energy and their behavior, their emotions alternating them between
two opposing emotions. (Bi means two, and polar = opposite)
States change their minds being extremely happy to being sad
hopeless.
Bipolar disorder is a severe mental illness. People who suffer rare
experience changes in mood. They can go from being very active and
happy to feel very sad and hopeless. And so the cycle begins again.
They often have normal moods from one to another cycle. A sensation of
euphoria and activities are called hobbies. At sadness and hopelessness
are called depression.
The causes of this disorder are not clear. They can be genetic, so it can
run in families. Another cause may be an abnormal structure of brain
functions.
Bipolar disorder usually begins in the last years of adolescence or early
adulthood but children and adults can also suffer. The disease usually
lasts a lifetime.
If left untreated, bipolar disorder can damage relationships, cause poor
performance in school or at work and even suicide. However, there are
effective treatments for the symptoms: medicines and "talk therapy". The
combination of both is usually what works best.
