PAID INTERNSHIPS
 Vokshori Law Group – Legal Intern (2 Openings)
We are a small law firm specializing in loan modifications, bankruptcy, debt settlement, business law
and civil litigation. As intern, you will be assigned a variety of different tasks involving client support
services, administration, web marketing, sales, and modification processing. Your preference for
assignments will also be taken into consideration. The position provides for a unique opportunity for
significant client contact, research and writing, and oral advocacy. No previous legal experience
necessary. References should be available. Intern will receive $500-750 stipend for semester. Must
available 2-3 Days/Week: 1-6pm. Must be available 12-16 hours per week. Please send your cover

 Grand Avenue PR – Intern ($8/hr)


Located at the California Market Center, Grand Avenue PR (a rapidly- growing boutique public
relations firm specializing in women’s lifestyle marketing) and Grand Avenue Baby (a showroom
specializing in baby and children lines) are seeking interns to support the team on multiple accounts.
Responsibilities will include researching and compiling media lists. Writing press materials. Media
pitching. Securing and coordinating media appointments. Assembling Client Reports. Assisting with
Media Days and Trade Shows. Showroom. Assisting sales rep. Securing and coordinating
appointments with buyers. Researching and compiling buyer lists. Assisting during market weeks.
Assisting in merchandising the collections. Qualified candidates must be outgoing, articulate,
conscientious, hard-working and have good writing skills. A major in communications, public
relations, journalism, English or marketing is desired. This is a paid $8/hr internship; a stipend will be
provided to cover transportation and parking expenses. Grand Avenue PR is willing to provide
documentation required for the intern to receive college credit. Needed 2 to 3 days per week. Hours
are flexible, however, interns must be available a minimum of 4 hours/ per day. Send all resumes with

 Cooking.com – Marketing Intern ($15/hr)

 Stetson Powell Orthopedics & Sports Medicine – Pre-Med Intern (Seniors/Recent Grads Only)
Open position for recent college graduate applying to medical school. Full time availability required
to work in an orthopedic private practice office. The position entails interviewing patients and
conveying the history of presenting illness to the physicians. In addition, the intern is responsible for
following the doctor throughout a patient’s visit and recording patient information into an electronic
medical record system. This internship provides exposure to private practice operations, offers
outside research in orthopedics, as well as opportunities to observe orthopedic surgery. The intern
will be introduced to anatomy and physiology as related to orthopedics, how to conduct clinical
physical exams, as well as the interpretation of diagnostic imaging. Our intention is to provide the
student with a foundation of knowledge which will be an asset throughout his/her medical school
career. Two openings available. Pay rate of $15/hr. Start date June 1, 2010 with end date of May 31,
2011. Qualified candidate will be intelligent, articulate and personable with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

 Fox Mobile Group – Marketing Communications Intern ($10/hr)


Assist in synchronizing with 20th Century Fox Theatrical, Fox Home Entertainment, Fox
Broadcasting and Fox Sports to obtain and develop content/entertainment for mobile distribution
globally. Develop marketing tools and presentations that are representative of our mobile platforms
and capabilities. Work with internal groups to track and review current promotional campaigns and
initiatives. Goals for Intern: To develop an understanding of the entertainment business, particularly
mobile entertainment and the way it is changing how consumers digest entertainment on a global
basis. All candidates must be registered with the internship program at their educational institution.
This is a paid internship and short listed candidates will be asked to provide proof of eligibility from
their education institution internship department. Qualifications: (preferred courses of study,
computer proficiency, skills etc.) Communications, Business (International a plus), Marketing. Must

 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. – Branded Integration Intern ($10/hr)


Telepictures Productions Inc., which produces shows like Ellen, Lopez Tonight and TMZ and
websites including TMZ.com and MomLogic.com, seeks a Branded Integration Intern. This position
provides a unique opportunity for college students with a passion for new media to support Branded
Entertainment and New Media working across popular television show websites. Reliable, outgoing
and friendly candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong networking ability. Assists in
website idea generation and client prospecting which includes assisting in identifying brand
companies (or agencies who represent brands) to partner with Telepictures for integrations across our
entertainment properties. The identification of these brands will come through extensive research.
The intern must also have a deep understanding of the brands and our entertainment properties. The
internship will include contacting these companies and generating their interest in integration and
partnership opportunities with the shows. Assists in creating/drafting proposals for partnerships or
integration opportunities. These proposals include integration objectives, initial creative concept (as
approved by the shows), timing, pricing, etc. Performs industry and client research and analysis.
Performs other job related duties and projects as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned.
College or trade school student working on BS/BA degree in Business or related field is required.
Candidates currently enrolled in a masters program in Marketing, Business, or Communications are
preferred. Proficiency with MS Word and MAC is required. Proficiency with Outlook E-mail and use
of the Internet are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong
research skills. Passion for TV, web and entertainment in general. Excellent organizational skills.
Some experience with PR and/or marketing is preferred and a strong knowledge of news, current pop
culture, and the internet space, is important. Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully
with managers & other levels of personnel. Must have ability to pay close attention to detail and
understand written & oral instructions. Must have ability to organize & schedule work effectively.
Must have ability to work well under time constraints. Must be able to handle multiple tasks. Must

 The Green Lifestyle Film Festival, Inc. – Film Editor (4 Openings)
The ideal intern would be someone interested in eco-friendly film making and looking to gain
experience with editing PSAs and short promo videos. Must be meticulous and willing to

 USC Corporate & Foundation Relations Office – Student Intern (2 Openings)


The USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences’ Advancement Office seeks two USC student interns
to assist the Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) staff in its Downtown Los Angeles office.
The Office of CFR is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of
gifts from private foundations and corporations in support of the Dean’s highest priorities. This is a
wonderful opportunity to gain experience in a robust development office of a major research
university. Our intern will enjoy a professional working space in a fast-paced office in the heart of the
Downtown financial district! The two interns will play an integral role in CFR— including
foundation and corporate prospect research, clipping reports on corporate industry trends, heavy
prospecting research trends on foundations, grants management and stewardship. This position
supports three CFR development officers, and responsibilities include everyday tasks such as filing,
organization, data entry, errands, scheduling, and some phones, but will also include a fair amount of
research and some writing. Course credit only. Work hours are flexible, but student must be available
at least 2 days a week for Summer 2010. Position starts after graduation, and start date can be flexible
based on your course schedule. Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication,
ability to work independently, attention to detail, and proficiency using internet tools for research are
a must. Previous work experience in an office setting or performing administrative duties are a plus.
Graduate students and upperclassmen preferred, but will consider other applicants. Please submit

FELLOWSHIPS
City Hall Fellows
City Hall Fellows is a non-partisan nonprofit national service corps training the next generation of leaders
for America's cities. Our 12-month, paid, post-college Fellowship integrates hands-on experience
working within the highest levels of local government with intensive training in how cities work. For the
class of 2011, we will be placing cohorts of Fellows in 3 cities: Houston, Texas; San Francisco,
California; Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Fellowship is open to students of ALL majors. A detailed
overview of the Fellowship, as well as application materials and instructions, are available on our

Class of 2011 are due March 10, 2010. The Fellowship year begins August 2, 2010 and runs through July
