the Second part of Cultural day program in which
we have Dances / Singing from renowned artists. I
am Renuka Prasad, is going to be MC for this
segment.
Nanu Shobha Papanna. First off, we would like to
extend our most cordial welcome once again to all.
Thank you for joining us in this eventful evening.
Hope everyone enjoyed the Karnatakas excellent
dishes.
We have excellent classical and Bollywood
dances and singing from various artists.
For the first performance on this beautiful

Purandaradasa

The dance extols the glory of Shiva and interprets

several episodes from the Shiva puranas.
Consort of the beautiful Parvati, adorned by the
crescent moon on your head, the river Ganga
flowing through your locks, you rescued
Markandeya from the death noose of Yama,
reduced Manmatha to ashes and rescued
humanity from destruction by swallowing poison
emitted during the churning of the ocean
