The Contemporary Experimental Argentinian Film in Central Europe

The Contemporary Experimental Argentinian Film in Central Europe is a project that seeks
to present the contemporary artwork of experimental filmmakers that reside in Argentina. The
project is unique not only for its geographic crossboarder character - it's the first screening of the
contemporary production out of the hispanic world-, but also for the truly cinematic aspect of the
screening from film prints in many cases the only existing copy of the artwork- and also for the
presence of some of the filmmakers we count with the presence of Pablo Mazzolo, Benjamin
Ellenberger and Azucena Losana.
We are pleased to collaborate with our colleagues from Austria and from Slovakia. The
screening in Vienna is prepared in collaboration with the Friedl Kubelka School and the screening
in Bratislava is prepared with the collective of film critiques and curators around the paper Kineko.

The project consists of three main parts:

1) Film screening in four eminent central european cities Prague, Olomouc, Vienna,
Bratislava

2) Film Conference and Film workshop at the Film faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts
in Prague

3) Monograph dedicated to the phenomenon of the Contemporary Experimental Argentinian
