mould removal and cleaning. Use suitable fillers for filling cracks, nail

existing glossy, gloss painted and filled surfaces are thoroughly flatted
down. Ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly prepared prior to priming
and painting.

Priming

areas on previously painted walls and ceilings with Optiva Matt Acrylic
thinned by 10% with water. Prime all bare wood with Optiva Primer
Undercoat and bare metal surfaces with Optiva Metal Primer.

Methods: Brush, roller or spray. For airless spray use a 0.015 0.021
spray tip.
Thinning:If necessary by up to 5% with water as a priming coat.

Painting Conditions

All surfaces to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least
+5OC and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.

Painting

Stir the paint thoroughly and apply one or two coats of Optiva Matt Acrylic,
depending upon the condition of the substrate and possible colour change.
Always apply two coats onto surfaces which have only been primed.

Coverage

7-10m2/litre per coat. Wet film thickness approximately 100-140 m per coat,
dry film approximately 40-60m per coat. The above should only be used as
a guide as actual spreading rates will depend upon many factors including
texture, porosity and application method.
