TOPIC FOR THE V-XII STANDARD
BE AN ACHIEVER ALWAYS
Every day of your life, you have something to do, something to achieve. Aim
high and work hard to reach there. A puppy or kitten has no aim; they just grow.
Whereas a boy or a girl can think, can plan, can work to achieve a goal. We have
plans in life; we have values in life. Success will not come by chance.
It is the result of your planning, struggle and hard work. If there is no
struggle, nothing can be achieved. Secret of success is hard work.
Here is a famous story of a biology teacher. He was teaching his students
how butterflies come out from cocoons. He kept some cocoons on the table and
told them that butterflies would come out from the cocoons in a short time.
All students were waiting for that joyful moment. At that time, due to some
urgent reason the teacher had to go out from the class. While going out, he told the
students that they would not touch the cocoons, but observe well.
The students were waiting and it happened. A butterfly was coming out from
a cocoon; but the cocoon was shaking so much. They saw a little opening in the
cocoon shell. The butterflys head was seen. It went on struggling and struggling.
Then one of the students felt sympathy for the butterfly. He went near the table and
slowly opened the cocoon that it would come out easily. But alas! It died.
The teacher came back to the class. The students told him what had
happened. Then he explained to the students that it was the law of nature that
butterfly to come out from the cocoon. By struggling, the butterfly gets strength for
its wings. By helping the butterfly, the boy had removed the struggle and the
butterfly died.
This story teaches you a lesson that struggle is a part of your life. The more
you struggle, the better you become.
Behind every success, struggle also can be seen. You must struggle as the
butterfly struggled, to get strength for your daily work.
If you want to be achievers in life, do everything with a purpose. Never
forget your plans or goals and work hard to reach the goal.
