I have 15+ years experience in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing
serving public and private clients. Most recently I was a senior project manager in the
geotechnical engineering division for a consulting firm, overseeing field and laboratory
operations, and report preparation, maintaining client relationships, attending project meetings,
and billing. I have been a consulting engineer in the metropolitan Houston area since 1993. I
am a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas. I developed expertise in managing projects,
processes, people, and budgets for both geotechnical and construction materials testing
operations. I am looking for a professional opportunity in a company, which can use my skills in

Experience
Develop geotechnical scope of work and fee estimate proposals, develop field program to
obtain sufficient stratigraphic information on which to base recommendations, assign laboratory
testing to determine soil properties and behavior characteristics, and evaluate the available data
to develop geotechnical recommendations. Analyses include evaluation of bearing capacity,
uplift, lateral capacity, and settlement for shallow and deep foundations; determination of design
parameters for post-tensioned or rigid slab-on-grade foundations; lateral earth pressures for
below-grade construction; site development requirements including drainage, backfill, and
subgrade preparation; and pavement section analysis.

Provide field quality control including monitoring installation of foundation systems including
spread footings, drilled-and-underreamed piers, drilled straight-sided shafts, or auger pressure
grouted piles; performing pile load tests on auger pressure grouted piles to evaluate ultimate
load capacity; evaluating the suitability of subgrade for receipt of fill and/or slab construction;
identifying subgrade areas requiring remediation; and evaluating on-site and imported soils for
use as fill.

Residential Development
Provide geotechnical and construction materials testing services to include Riverstone (levee,
lakes, wtp, utilities, and roadways) Sienna Plantation (utilities, roadways, bridge crossings, wtp,
wwtp, and residential), Riverwood Village (utilities, roadways, detention basin, drainage, wwtp,
and wtp) Grand Lakes (utilities, roadways, wtp expansion), Fall Creek (residential, utilities,
roadways, structures), Dominion Post Oak (residential tower), 1200 Post Oak (residential

Commercial Development
Work with numerous developers for commercial structures and parking facilities. Projects include
Walgreens, Academy Distribution Center and Stores, Star Furniture, Bassett Furniture, Parking
Garage at Capital Avenue and Austin Street, retail shopping centers, and banks.

School Districts
Provide geotechnical engineering services for Conroe ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Houston ISD,
Montgomery ISD, and Tomball ISD. Projects have included elementary schools, junior high
schools, high schools, additions, and other facilities.

Water Systems
Provide geotechnical engineering services to include water transmission mains, water treatment
plants, and drainage channels (North Harris County Regional Water Authority, North Channel
Water Authority, West Harris County Regional Water Authority, Central Harris County Regional
Water Authority, North Fort Bend County Water Authority, the City of Houston, the City of
Missouri City, the City of Pearland), subdivision water treatment plants, water lines, drainage
channels, and levees (Sienna Plantation, Riverstone, Mustang Bayou, Kitty Hollow Park Levee).

Roadways
Project engineer for roadway and bridge projects including Harlem Road, Bamore Road, F.M.
518 By-Pass, Briar Forest Overpass, McHard Road, Bunker Hill Road, Kirby Drive, Spring
Cypress Road, Will Clayton Parkway, and various other roadway, storm sewer, bridge crossing,
detention basin, and drainage channel improvements.
