EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

SPEAKING: At end of above lesson, ask pupils to bring one of their

favourite items of clothing (must be an item introduced in the lesson) to
school for next lesson and tell the pupils there will be a class fashion show
held. Tell pupils they will be expected to tell the class what they are
wearing as a means of motivating pupils to practise target language.
WRITING AND READING: At the beginning of the next lesson, teacher
can review the new vocabulary (a t-shirt, shoes, etc). Then, give each
pupil one picture of an item of clothing. Each pupil must write the target
sentence I am wearing ~ that corresponds to the picture. In groups or
pairs pupils read their sentence. Next pupils can bring their completed
work to the teacher, read the sentence and then teacher clips the work to
the rope that was used in the previous lesson. PURPOSE? Instant
language display that can be used again and again throughout the unit.
Next, begin the fashion show.
WRITING: Allow pupils to continue wearing the clothes they wore in the
fashion show; in groups, pupils write sentences about what their friends
are wearing EX Syafikah is wearing a blue dress, Alif is wearing a yellow
cap, etc.
