PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 6/07 to 7/09 DynCorp International International Police Advisor-Iraq I mentored and advised senior Iraqi Officers in proper operation of a police department. I provided training in Community Policing, Administration, Maintenance, Investigations, Logistics, and Command and Control of the Iraqi Police to the command staff through formal classroom training and informal meetings. I trained Iraqi Police in basic law enforcement techniques to develop and improve the professionalism of the Iraqi Police Service. I also assisted the Team Leader with various administrative and logistical requirements to assist in providing vital life support and welfare needs to Police Advisors within the area of operations. 7/05 to 5/07 Flametemers Fire Extinguisher Company, Gurnee, Illinois Field Service Technician I installed and inspected fire extinguishers, commercial kitchen fire suppression equipment and emergency lighting equipment to comply with local and state code. As a field service technician, it was necessary to have excellent communication skills and technical proficiency to be successful. 9/97 to 1/05 Mundelein Police Department, Mundelein, Illinois Police Officer I was tasked with the enforcement of federal, state and local laws and ordinances. I received and investigated complaints and accurately recorded the facts. I aggressively patrolled and identified trouble areas within my jurisdiction. I prepared reports to reflect my observations and findings for possible testimony in criminal and civil court proceedings. I was assigned as an advisor for the Mundelein Explorer program to provide guidance to teenagers who were interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. I attended specialty training in Gang Interdiction and Identification, Impaired Driver Identification, Child Seat Installation, and Critical Incident Stress Management. To be effective as a patrol officer it was important to display a command presence, react calmly under stressful situations, and an ability to work with people of different cultures, education levels, and financial status. 1988 to 1996 United States Marine Corps Final Rank –Sergeant I performed duties of a Ground Radio Repair Technician. I repaired communications equipment and systems to the component level. I supervised Marines of lower rank in proper troubleshooting techniques. I was a member of the Glenview Naval Air Station base emergency response team and was also trained as a prisoner escort. SUMMARY I believe I have the necessary tools to be an asset in any position I am put in. I will put dedication, integrity, and tenacity in any task I am given and I will produce quality results.
