Interview Questions
Animation is a huge part of the entertainment industry nowadays. It is a very
profitable form of media and popular especially with kids.
1. What are your views on animation (its value, positive/negative effects,
usefulness)?
Its potential in education has already been documented. Based on previous
researches, including my last data collection session, many teachers view it as a
good fit and an interesting method to include in the learning system; and the
children showed positive feedback with animation usage in learning.
However, setbacks such as cost, availability and acceptance (in terms of
maintaining the use of the technology) has so far held it back from really setting
foot in the education forefront for Malaysia in general and areas such as Labuan
specifically.
2. What are your current knowledge of animation implementation in
learning/education?
Its a form of dynamic representation that display processes that change all the time. For
example, they can show the flux of high and low pressure areas in a weather map.

3. What do you think of the idea of using animation to learn? And are your
thoughts on it being implemented in primary schools within Labuan?
4. Do you wish to see more or less of such implementation of modern
technology/methods in education?
Action Research focus on cycles of the research being done and close
relationship between the researcher, and all the other parties involved to
get results.
5. How do you feel about researches that encourages the researchers to
have more direct communication and cooperation with their target
groups? How do you think that will make any difference to the research?
This specific research aims to study what it is like to implement animation in
learning using a small sample of SKK SK. St. Anne English Year 3s syllabus. The
group in the mix includes 15 students from the class 3 Berlian. Ms.Kamaliah has
been working with me throughout the entirety of the program and Ms. Azleani
has helped me for the final session.
6. For the duration that you were involved, give your thoughts on the
program.
The final session is when the students get to see the animation, learn from it,
and take a test that was constructed by the teacher.
7. As you had a hand in the final session what are your overall thoughts on
it? (In terms of the planning, execution, your involvement, students
acceptance and response to the session) How do you think it could be
executed better?
8. All in all, after knowing about such research and even be involved first
hand with it; what are your final overview on it?

9. Moving forward, how should the program evolve in your eyes to make it
more successful in primary schools, not just in areas such as Labuan but
all across Malaysia?
Ms. Azleani may edit this document with your answers or make a new document
and answer in that; and then send it to me via email.
