Significance of the Study
The Project Context starts with an introduction or opening statement about
the main topic leading to the specific topic and the identification of the nature of the
proposal. It is followed by a discussion on the specific topic leading to the problem
definition. Finally, a solution is proposed to solve the problem and its corresponding
strategy.
The Purpose and Description include/discuss the overview of proposed
system which includes the following:
- What is the basic purpose of the system?
- Who will benefit from it? Describe the area and the people to be served.
- How does this system help fulfill the institutions mission and fit into the
framework of the course?
- How is the system unique? Is it similar to other systems but covers a
different area?
- Does it employ new approach?
- Why does this system deserve prioritization more than others competing
attention?
The Objectives of the Project includes the General Objective and the Specific
objectives. The General Objective captures the title of the study and must include
all aspects of the subject matter to be studied.
General Objective:

On the other hand, the specific objectives must be explicit, precise and
expected results are verifiable, such as for being specific, measurable, attainable,
realistic and time-bound

The scope describe the brief description of the system and its features, it
answers the 5 WH questions, what, where & when, who or whom, why and how
limitations
The significance of the Study presents the value of the study, not only the
researcher but also to other stakeholders. The significance of the whole study must
contain explanations or discussions of any or all of the following: the rationale,
timeliness, and/or relevance of the study; possible solutions to existing problems or
improvement to unsatisfactory conditions; who are the beneficiaries and what are
their benefits; possible contribution to the body of knowledge; and possible
implications. (it answers the question, why do you need to develop your system?)
