nature. Anne and Mark have 45 years combined in the business! The pair are known for having

Anne Hall is a second generation rare print dealer, daughter of perhaps one of the most important
rare print dealers in the world, Bill Hall and his wife Kathleen Manning, historians and owners of
Prints Old and Rare, and Mannings Books and Prints, located in Pacifica, CA. Anne Hall was taught
at an early age about collecting and the value in collecting. Her father would not give her
prints, but rather sell them to her at a very low price to instill the meaning of the value of
collecting. She attended many book fairs and shows, and worked in the old print business from
time to time. She first started collecting old postcards of Mackinac Island, Michigan.

1869-1896. These are stunning hand finished color lithographs produced in Belgium during the

Lindenia Orchid Prints. Antique Orchis Chromolithographs

Lindenia Orchid Prints. HORIZONTALS. Published in Belgium c.1885 of varieties of orchids. The
discovery of newly discovered species of Orchis was extremely popular during the 1800s. There
were orchid hunters exploring and bringing back specimens to cultivate and to show in curiosities,
or natural history museums. These are hand finished color lithographs that are bold and clean.
Each color seen was applied with key stoned limestone plates called lithographs. This was a very
laborious antique printing method. Then finished generally with water coloring or gum Arabic, or
egg white. The accentuations was all by hand. Each old print measures about 10 1/2 high x 13 1/2
