from Blood on the Tracks, by Bob Dylan

"How often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth
gather her brood under her wings." Luke 13:34.
"As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth
abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them upon her wings: So the LORD
alone did lead him, and there was no strange god [el, in Hebrew] with
him ....then he forsook God [Eloah, feminine in Hebrew] who made him,
and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation....They sacrificed unto devils,
not to God [Eloah, feminine in Hebrew] ....Of the Rock that begat thee thou
art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee." Deuteronomy
32:11,12,15,17,18.
"In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His presence
saved them in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare
them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed His
Holy Spirit [Ruah, feminine in Hebrew]." Isaiah 63:9, 10.
"Wisdom [Hookmah, feminine in Hebrew; Sophia, feminine in Greek]
is justified of all her children." Luke 7:35.
Though begotten by His Word, Ye are born of the Spirit.
Who is this Woman who desires to give us "Shelter from the Storm?"
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; 'To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna,
and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written,
which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it." Revelation 2: 17.

Though many understand that the Church, the Community ofIsrael (the
literal and the spiritual) has always been portrayed as a woman, both in the
Old Testament and the New Testament, and is a shelter to her children, there
is more to this Woman than that.

masculine Persons then the word would be Elim, which is used only twice
with reference to YHWH. Mankind (male and female) is said to be made in
the "image" and "likeness" of Elohim (feminine, masculine, plural), not El
(masculine, singular), Elim (masculine, plural), Eloah (feminine, singular),
or Elohot (feminine, plural). As Elohim is plural, it should be consistently
read as Gods, plural, whether referring to the True Gods, or to false ones.

In Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic all common nouns, verbs and

antecedents have gender assigned to them, either masculine or feminine,
there is no neuter, nothing is called "it." Most all nouns ending in "ah" are
feminine. Whenever reading or thinking of the Holy Spirit [Ruah, in
Hebrew], Moses and the other Old Testament writers, Jesus, and His
Hebrew/Aramaic speaking apostles and disciples, Bob Dylan, or anyone else
with a basic understanding of the Hebrew Scriptures, would see a feminine
Person.

EL SHADDAI - Translated Almighty God, God Almighty. The actual

root of the word Shaddai is shad and means breasts, feminine. El Shaddai
literally means "The Mighty Breasted One" - able to abundantly supply,
nurture, and comfort. In many places where El Shaddai occurs, so does
Eloah (Goddess).

In the second century B.C., Jewish rabbis and scholars made a

translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into the Greek language for the Greekspeaking Jews and converts. This is known as The Septuagint. After the work
was completed a time of fasting and mourning was proclaimed because of
the violence done to the beauty of the Hebrew Scriptures. Why? Because the
Greek language employed a neuter gender and in many cases personality and
gender were lost. The same loss took place in New Testament times when
Jesus' apostles and disciples translated some of the Gospels and other
writings into Greek, or wrote in Greek themselves. Biblical Hebrew has in
its word pictures a revelation of the Divine.
HEBREW

SHEKINAH - Another Hebrew term used to describe the Presence of

God, The Holy Spirit. It is also feminine. It was the Shekinah which was said
to "dwell between the cherubim" and was also worshipped as God.
"That which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shown it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of
the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead." Romans 1:19, 20.
"And God [Gods - Elohim] said, 'Let Us make man in Our image,
after Our likeness: and let them have dominion ....' So God [Gods - Elohim]
created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; male
and female created He them." Gen. 1:26,27.

TITLES

EL - Translated God, gods, idols, mighty, mighty one, power, and

strong. It is used in reference to YHWH, The God of Israel, as well as of
gods of other nations. It is singular and masculine.
ELOAH - Translated God. It appears over fifty times in the Scriptures.
It is mainly used in reference to YHWH. It has the feminine ending "ah" and
should be translated Goddess. The form Elohi is twice translated goddess,
literally goddess of(1 Kings 11:5,33). I asked a Hebrew teacher in what way
does Eloah, being feminine as it is, differ from El or Elohim. After reflecting
for a moment, she replied that it represents the One who is "with us."
ELOHIM - Translated angels, God, godly, judges, and gods. Elohim
has Eloah as its root, with the added masculine plural ending im. It implies
a unity of masculine and feminine, and a plurality. If the Godhead were all

"In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God [Gods Elohim] made He him; male and female created He them; and blessed them
and called their name Adam ..." Gen. 5: 1,2. Woman was not created in the
"image" and "likeness" of the man, but of God, or, rather, Goddess, the Holy
Spirit. When Gods called Adam, they, Their image and likeness, responded.
Later, after they had sinned, the man called the woman, Eve (Genesis 3:20).
The adherents of Judaism, in general, have no problem acknowledging
the duality of gender the Scriptures use when speaking of God because they
traditionally believe today (though it has not always been so), "[a]s
Maimonides, the greatest medieval Jewish philosopher puts it 'God is not a
body, nor can bodily attributes be ascribed to him, and he has no likeness at
all.' " The Hebrew Goddess, by Raphael Patai, Wayne State University Press.
It certainly leads to confusion to read in the Scriptures that we are made in

the "likeness" of God, but be told that He "has no likeness at all." No wonder
why so many people are having an identity crisis today. Woman is made in
the image and likeness of the Holy Spirit.
"HEAR,O

ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD."

Deuteronomy 6:4.

Many take that verse to mean that "God is one." But, the Hebrew word
order reads differently than that English translation. It reads, "The LORD
[YHWH], our Gods, The LORD [YHWH] is one." Thus, Moses wasn't
saying that "Gods [Elohenu] is one," but that "the LORD [YHWH] is one."
The word translated "one" (echad) implies a "unity" of more than just
one in number. The Gods (ha-Elohim), through Moses, were not telling
Israel that They were "one" Person, but that They (the Gods, ha-Elohim)
were perfectly united, "One." This was contrary to all of the other religious
beliefs around them in that all of the other deities were in opposition to, and
even warring against, each other, even the ones which were of the same
family. The Gods ofIsrael, "The Mighty Living Ones [Elohim Hayyim]" are
One (United).
THE PLURALITY

OF MAJESTY

The Jews, though acknowledging the "Plurality ofMajesty" as defined

in the language of the Scriptures, never have, nor would have believed in a
Trinity, for they believe the Son also has a feminine Counterpart, as does His
Father, thus making four not three. It can be seen that the translators of the
King James Bible understood this somewhat in the fact that in the New
Testament the term Holy Ghost is translated from the same words for Holy
Spirit. This was done to convey the fact that the Scriptures reveal that The
Father has His Own Spirit, and the Son has His Own Spirit. Thus revealing
a heavenly Father, Mother, Son, and Daughter.
"Thy throne, 0 God [the Son], is forever andever ...Oh God [the Son],
thy God [Your Father and Mother, the Holy Spirit], hath anointed Thee
with the oil of gladness above thy fellows ... The King's [the Father's]
Daughter [the Holy Ghost] is all glorious within ...She shall be brought unto
the King [the Son] in the raiment of needlework (fine linen - Revelation.
19:8); the virgins [the 144,000] Her companions that follow Her shall be
brought unto Thee [the Son] [Rev 14:1-5]. Instead of Thy fathers, shall be
Thy children, whom Thou mayest make princes in all the earth." Psalm 45:6-

16. This is how and why Jesus becomes our "Everlasting

Father"

Isaiah

In Matthew 25: 1-13 the Church is portrayed as virgins waiting with the
Bride for the Corning of the Bridegroom. In Revelation 19:9 the Church is
portrayed as guests at the marriage supper of the Lamb. If companions and
guests, she (the Church) cannot also be the Bride.
THE BRIDEGROOM

SAYS

"My Dove, my undefiled is but One; She is the only One of Her
Mother, She is the beloved One of Her [the Mother] that bare Her [the
Daughter] ... Return, return, 0 Shulamite, return, return, that we may look
upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of
Two Armies [Two Hosts -Mahanaim, Gen. 32:2]." Song of Solomon 6:9,
13.
THE BRIDE SAYS
"The Lord [Jesus] possessed Me [the Holy Ghost, His Sister] in the
beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from
everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no
depths I was brought forth ... Before the mountains were settled, before the
hills, was I brought forth: While as yet He had not made the earth ... When
He prepared the heavens, I was there ... Then I was by Him, as one brought
up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;
rejoicing in the habitable parts of the His earth ..." Proverbs 8:22-30. The
Hebrew word translated "brought forth" literally means, "birthed."
"What are these two Olive Trees [The Father and Mother] upon the
right side of the candlestick [the church - Rev. 1:20] and upon the left side
thereof? And ...What be these two Olive Branches [Son and Daughter]
which through the two golden pipes (prophets) empty the golden oil out of
Themselves? ...These [the Branches] are the Two Anointed Ones that stand
by the Lord of the whole earth." Zechariah 4:11-14.
"Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and
offering Thou wouldst not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me." Hebrews
10:5. The Holy Spirit, by an act of Divine creation, began a body from
Mary's seed, and the Only Begotten Son of God gave up His Divine Form
and Glory to become one with the fleshly body. He was not "Begotten of the

Father," nor "Born of the Spirit" at the time ofthe incarnation, but at a time
before He, the Son, created everything with the Holy Ghost by Him.

the Eternal Spirit offered Himself ..." Hebrews

9:14.

The early Church knew of two intercessors, Jesus and the Holy Ghost,
one masculine, one feminine, both Divine. This was later changed into Jesus
and Mary.

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the Marriage
of the Lamb is come, and His Wife hath made herself ready. And to Her
was granted that She should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the
fine linen is the righteousness of the saints." Revelation 19:7, 8. What was
She wearing? - "the righteousness of the saints." It is not the saints that have
on the "fine linen," it is "His Wife." "And the Spirit (Mother) and the Bride
(Daughter) say, 'Corne" Rev. 22:17. To whom? To you and I, brothers and
sisters.
BOB DYLAN AND WISDOM,

Not only are the Hebrew words for Spirit and Wisdom feminine, but so
is the word for Law (Instruction), Torah. The devil hates the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Ghost, women, and true femininity, for he first sinned against the Holy
Spirit's influence in his heart and mind, and thereby Law and Wisdom.

HIS FRIEND

In the Book of Proverbs the Holy Ghost is characterized as Wisdom, the

Divine feminine Intercessor. In his song, Shelter from the Storm, Bob Dylan
is simply telling of the Holy Ghost's [Divine Wisdom's] work in his spiritual
rebirthHer, the Daughter of Gods' work. "Come in," She said [to him,
and you and me], "I'll give you shelter from the storm."
"Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? She
standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. She
crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
"Unto you, 0 men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. 0 ye
simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be
right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an
abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;
there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that
understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
"Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than
choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be

desired are not to be compared to Her.

"I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty
inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and
the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound
wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes
decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the
earth. I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find
Me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice
silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of
judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I
will fill their treasures ...
"Now therefore hearken unto me, 0 ye children: for blessed are they
that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed
is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts
of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the
LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that
hate me love death." Proverbs 8:1-21, 32-36.

" ...She crieth upon the highest places of the city, Whoso is simple, let
him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, She saith to him,
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Forsake
the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding." Proverbs 9:3-6.
"She is a Tree of Life to them that lay hold upon Her: and happy is
every one that retaineth Her." Proverbs 3:18.

"Precious Angel, under the Sun, how was I to know You'd be the one.
To show me I was blinded; to show me I was gone; how weak was the
foundation, I was standing upon. Shine Your light. Shine Your light on me.
Shine Your light. You know I just couldn't make it by myself, I'm a little too
blind to see ...You're the Queen of my flesh Girl, you're my Woman, you're
my delight." Precious Angel, by Bob Dylan.
"If not for you, Babe, I couldn't find the door, couldn't even see the
floor. I'd be sad and blue, ifnot for You ..." If Not For You, by Bob Dylan.
