issues, the action practically supports itself.
• The barrel and receiver are connected by a snug-fitting
cone plug that is free of play and compensates for wear.
The state-of-the-art manufacturing process ensures
minimum tolerances and maximum precision.
• Six lugs lock the bolt directly in the barrel. This guarantees
perfect headspace after every disassembly and assembly
and prevents wear and tear at the plug connecting barrel
and receiver.
• With the press of a button, six lugs lock the fore-end
directly into the steel receiver.
• The S 202 Take Down can be disassembled without tools
to a length of 70 cm and re-assembled within seconds for
immediate action. There is no tool to forget or lose, no
screw that is too tight or too loose – the rifle is reduced to
pure perfection and that leads to successful hunting.
• After assembly, the point of impact remains 100% consist-
ent. There is no need for testfiring.
• The unlimited flexibility of the S 202 Take Down allows for
changing of barrels and calibres from 6.5 x 55 to .458 Lott
with a wide range of barrel lengths and contours.
• Trigger, safety, sights, stock options and, of course, the
absolutely slick bolt action have all been adopted from the

This sidelock side-by-side shotgun represents the high point of gunmaking.
The original Sauer & Sohn sidelock is the only one of its kind that dares to
call itself perfect: It alone is based upon the mathematical principle of the
“Rule of Thales”.
The collaboration between master gunsmith Marko Frühauf and master
engraver Hendrik Frühauf has resulted in an incomparable side-by-side Sauer & Sohn “Meisterwerk” shotgun
that sets the standard for the rest.

With a lot of love for details and in
outstanding craftmanship, master gunsmith
Marko Frühauf created a second side-by-side shot-
gun – this time it comes with a boxlock. The heart of Double underlugs
the construction is the famous “Kerner boxlock” featuring
the above located, distinctive trigger bars for smoother trigger
pull. The steel-proofed Model IX is chambered for calibre 20/76 and
offers a 71 cm barrel using quarter- and half-choke. The English stock in
wood grade 7 has a handmade checkering and is handpolished.

All the engravings are done by master engraver Hendrik Frühauf. Around
the old Sauer & Sohn logo on the bottom he engraved discreet arabesques,
The receiver is milled out of forged steel
but varies from shotgun to shotgun, so that every single gun becomes a

mounting onto a Sauer 303. It allows for fast and accurate
aiming at moving game. Working with hybrid power, the solar
cell supplies power to the light-emitting diode by daylight,
