Brochure
Description: A 3 sided folding brochure.
Programs: InDesign CC 2014 and Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.
Date: July 10, 2015.
Course: COMM 130
Instructor: Ben Pingel.
Objectives: Learn to manage Indesign and Illustartor and
make a brochure with both proggrams.
Process: The first thing I did was draw sketches. After I had an
idea of what I wanted the brochure to look like I started drawing
my logo using Illustrator. I used the pen tool to create the green
leaves of the tree and then I used it to create the trunk. As for
the other part of the project I used InDesign CC 2014. I split the
layout in three parts. I used the green leaves to create repetition
and I chose pictures of food, healthy food. I used the pen tool
to create a figure so that it could go in front of the sushi picture.

Objectives: scan and import a high-quiality image and create a new design using Microsoft Word.
Process: The first thing I did was go to the library and search
for images in the National geographic section. After that I
scanned the picture and I started sketching. Once I picked the
one I liked the most I used Word to edit and put the information.

Web page
Description: A web page designed.
Programs : TextWrangler Illustrator & Photoshop.

Course: COMM130
Instructor: Professor Pingel
Objetives: Design a web page using HTML to display a logo
and content.
Process: I created this web page using only TextWrangler
and my logo I created last week.This was my first time using this program and I have to say at the beginning it was
not easy. As the days passed I felt more comfortable using
this text editor and I got to play while designing this page.
I attached a pre-made CSS document the teacher gave us
to my HTML. Then I used photoshop, eyedropper tool,
so that I could see all the colors that my logo had so that
I could use those same colors in my page. As for the background I choose an image of rocks and for the font I
used Times new roman with some backup (Georgia,
sans-serif) in case some computers dont have the font.

Buisness card
Description: Matching letterhead and business card.

Objectives: Create a buisness card that goes with the letterhead.

sketches and when I had the one I liked the most I started using
Indesign and Illustrator. I used a combination of shapes to make
the logo and the icons. On my page I used the rectangle tool to
create the front and back outline of my business card. In the first
rectangle I put the logo in white and on the other one in blue. I
also wrote some information like the location, phone number,
e-mail,etc. When i was done I exported these projects and converted them to JPEG so that I could be able to post it on WordPress.

Objectives: Create a variety of logos for a company.
Process: I really enjoyed working with this new program, Adobe
Illustrator CC 2014. First of all I sketched some ideas and I designed
them using the program and after that I made people vote which
of the three designs they liked the most. I picked the winning logo
and I refined it and made some changes; typography, colors, etc.

Flyer
Description: Black and White promotional flier.
Programs: Indesign

Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives: Learn how to use Indesign and make a black and
white flier.
Process: First I created four different sketches. Then I chose the
one I liked the most and using Adobe in Design I created it.I used
black boxes at the top and at the bottom so that there was balance
in the flier. I left some white space on the right and I emphasized
the title and the subtitle. As for the information( date, time and
place) I put it in bold so that it can attract peoples attention.For
this project I was given the logo, image and the information.

Montage
Description: Montage made by blending two images and the
use of typography.
Programs: Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.
Date: May 30, 2015- I modified this project on July 17, 2015.
Course: COMM130
Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives: Learn how to montage two or more images.
Process: Once I had the idea of what I wanted to do I chose
some pictures and I decided to use the youngs women
theme. I cropped the background, the temple picture, as the
project said, 8.5 by 11. I added the girls picture and I used a
black brush. As for the filter I used sharpen in the girls hair
and eyes. For this project I used Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.

Imaging
Description: Demonstrate my photography and design skills.
Programs: Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.

Objectives: Learn how to use photoshop and edit with one of
my pictures.
Process: As the project said, first I chose the color scheme
and once I decided which one I was going to use I went
through the campus with a camera(rented on the library) searching for a good image. Once I had it I used
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 and I started creating.
