Imaging
Date: May 24th 2015
Instructor: Ben Pingel
Description: Tuned on my photography skills by first picking a combination of
colors that suits the message i am trying to express, inserted the photo into a complimentary blend of colors to suit the original photo, and came up with this grand
piece.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): I first sketched a rough paper
outline to express how i wanted the page to appear. Then i selected the complimentary color scheme Gold and indigo, on the color wheel. With a canon D3000
professional camera, i took a picture of a lake. I edited the photo levels, sharpness,
saturation, and color balance. and then placed two different shapes at different
points of the design , incorporating relevant color schemes to match my outline.
Overtime, my mastery of Photoshop has dramatically improved having spent a total of over 18 hours to redesign and correct my work. The eye dropper, move , pen,
crop, sharpen tools and color swatches significantly aided my design. Apparently,
my design is devoid of clutter. Generally, the use of all 5 design processes is obvious
here in Formulation, Organization, Contrast, and most importantly, the unity
and simplicity of the design.
Message: A depiction of my work and understanding of the focus process in design for any hiring firm.
Audience: Majorly, family groups and tourists enthusiasts, with an aim to relax and
find the perfect tourist destination.

methods, skills and color schemes.
