Managers also need to find supporting alternatives to help quiken the achievement of organizational goals. They also need to find the best supporting way with the help from other people who are skilled in a particular field. To achieve the organizational goal.
For example, a manager of an computer equipment
company can suggest several marketing strategies and later select the best strategy, after taking into consideration market condition, price and customer behaviour.
In this project, there are people that suggest a few
strategies and select the best strategy to achieve the organizational goal. Everyone was divided with the number of task given by the manager.
COORDINATING THE JOBS
The mechanism of coordinating different jobs between departments is created as without the job coordination, conflict or confusion would happen among employees from different departments due to the overlapping of jobs.
An effective coordination mechanism enables these
problems to be solved using established rules, procedure, and policies.
Each department should have rules to avoid overlapping of
jobs. This organizing process will be systematic in a company.
There also should established procedure and policies in
this coordiation of jobs. Follow it by steps to prevent it from conflict or confusion that can happen among employees. In our project, take effective coordianation mechanism that is established rules, procedure, and policies to solve the problems that happen from different departments of jobs.
SELECTION
Selection is a process of selecting the best or most
qualified candidate from a group of applicants to fills a vacancy in an organization. By using their judgement, managers must be able to predict the candidate that can perform the duties that would be entrusted to them based on the performance evaluation criteria set by the organization. For a teaching position, the relevant party should be able to predict a candidate who can be an effective teacher. Several factors influecing the selection of candidates as follows : a) Discrimination law in term of gender and age. b) Duration of time taken to make a decision. c) The number of applicants and the number of employees required. d) Organizational goals. Steps are involved in the selection process a) Reviewing application forms. i. Ensure that information stated by the applicants match the job description and job specification for the position. ii. View the candidates feedback on the question asked. b) Conducting the first round interview. c) Conducting evaluation and tests. d) Conducting the second round interview. e) Offering the job.
SELECTION
The evaluation and testing in the selection process
involves several test. The choices of test depends on the aim of the organization and the requirements of the position.
a) IQ test or knowledge test
b) Personality and psychoclogy test c) Skill and achievement test Candidates will be given technical skills test in order to identify the candidates skills to complete a job. d) AIDS and drug test e) Test on the interest to perform duties f) Assessment centre
INDUCTION AND ORIENTATION
Induction orientation are activities that are conducted to
reduce the new employees stress in the organizational by familiarizing them with organizational policies, existing employees, and the organizational environment. Induction involves the effort to inform new employees about the jobs that are to be performed by them. Orientation involves enabling new employees to adjust to the new workplace through the following steps: a) Introducing the organizationals background. b) Holding the programme to introduce new employees. c) Describing employee benefits and facilities. d) Listing the jobs duties and responbilities that must be performed by the employee.
Objectives of conducting induction and orientation in the
organization: a) Reduce feeling of anxiety and worry among new employees. b) Enable new employees to perform their duties efficiently and effectively. c) Enable new employees to feel more comfortable, especially among senior employees. d) Enable new employees to form friendly relationships with other new and existing employees. Induction and orientation programmes are conducted to give an early exposure to the new employees.
The management is responsible for making the integration
process of new employees a success in order to increase the organizationals unity and harmony.
