Gibberishism (essay)

By: Firew Girma

It is the source of all humanized wisdomsa gate to the quests of the transcendental world -power to ones imagination and inner peace--reason to our humanitywhat else it could be other
than reading. Undoubtedly, no one could lead an authentic life without reading and the many
manifestations of possessing the habit of ita tranquillized life. I cant help imagining what
would possibly a life absent from reading seems. If there is such person whose habit is merely
eating-drinking but to enjoy, then what is the thing he really enjoys? Man should hamper the
passage to a fleshly joy and would be much better if he could extols the vitality gained through
the quest for wisdoms in the transcendental world--which comes only from structured and
systematized ways of knowing--which still comes from reading. What kind of joy man could
harvest as a reward to his eating and drinking? Arent drinking and eating our usual labors of
feeding just to our body? Does our mind need not a food?
Of course man shouldnt also remiss the need to exercise his body. Meanwhile, I prefer to minify
the importance of body exercise as some less regarded young idealists of this generation. Not
only to the body which I beneath of its regard, however, to all unshared ones in time. It is mind
not body shareable in time. So, mind needs an exercise which enables man to share from the ever
mysterious metaphysic power of time. This exercise is known to few of us as readingan
exercise of knowing. What we know when we know something is a serious of events in time
past-present-future. Well the famous Irish-born English essayist, Richard Steele saidReading
is to the mind what exercise is the body. But, I shall never regard the exercise which we require
to our body as wise mans good choice than a wise reading tailored to structure our intellect
through time. For the sake of this generation who wish to live in the western lifestyle or wants
westing the south, I rather needlessly say exercise to the body is quasi of nothing with reading to
the mind.
Indeed, I dont want to please none of my instinct led sarcastic life wishes by telling youabout
the fuzzy-messy looking notion of how the two system function together in a way they better
explain what mans life ought to be through the course of time. Because, I cant tell even think
what I really do when I do it from my instinct. It is manprobably the only creature who
incuriously admits his weakness when things he want in life are no more attainablea
compromised life. That is why we usually believe our pretending life and like to count on our
hidebound personality. What a weak-kneed life of man disdains his mind for the weak thoughts
made by some appears to deceive many. There is no known weakness in mans nature than the
one I knowhe is the weakest of all beings yet to establish a collective moral in inquiring about
the nature of good and evil for his way of living. Whereas, it is also common to hear when some
people say good and evil are inseparable images of our mind; therefore, impossible to devoid
them as long as thought exist. Very intimate trickeries we commonly know! This is what I
partially reject because it seem a fear to ask and know what we wanta fear of the unknown.
Logically speaking, knowing the fear of the unknowns attribute means just synchronizing
sameness of things with their exist entries of information in our mind and the differential of
things with their nonsexist entries of information in the external world (the unknown)is known

as knowledge. And literally speaking, the simplest form of knowledge is to know the difference
of two things. When we differentiate things, at the same time we do associate them hence
association is another simplest form of knowledge. The analogy here is to say that everything in
this world has a patterna pattern of duality. Likewise, there exists a dual pattern of good
(known) and evil (unknown). We usually give the attribute of goodness to something which is
known, whereas the attribute of evilness to the unknown one. Then let us also remount the
pattern in duality as the most single power of knowing. But, knowing doesnt have ends. I rather
say knowing is a process reasoningand the process is an attempt of ordering thoughts. For any
ordered thoughts, there is a decent termknowledge. Whatever looks a life without power and
material wealth, however, I might deserve to be considered as a person who argues that a decent
life in all its forms doesnt require a man who is decent by his nature and he might never
expected to devote to it. Because, decency by itself will require all rational knowledge and
doesnt stand alone independent of all knowledge formsthe form of the understanding and of
the reason itself.
Why would I be obstructed with the words of claimants who deceive themselves as if there is
unrecognizable evil exist in them or around them which naturally happens anytime in their mind
to destruct all the good things they have. What surprises me is that science of the humans
behavior, the so called psychology and recalcitrant intellectuals in this science are zealous
supporters of the claimants on to yet insentient explanationevil is a proof so long as man is
uniquely happened to think. Ah! Is there any such recognized evil than ignorance? Dare to say
ignorance is the mother of all poverties. These days, ignorance is coming to account for not only
to poverty but also the arena in which crimes are conceived. In more ingenious way, the German
philosopher Kurt Tucholsky said the cruelty of most people is lack of imagination, their
brutality is ignorance. Life from this point of view is without style and unintelligible.
Whereas, a stylish life should be intelligible as it isa simple and curious one. It is only when
we accept this truth, our rejection of this world as it is without knowing the necessity of escaping
it could vanish. Let all our knowing come through reading of this world. And, let all readings be
deselected when it is wished for a true wisdom. Be one of those great men--who destined for
read and know all even the mind of humans because they have great minds. If you say why for,
I tell you then that great minds will less suffered by ignorance than the fact that it doesnt endure.
So, I wanted to tell you the inevitable truth that a day will come when we no longer imagine
what is happening around us even unable to understand why we live and whom to live for. Right
here, only very few known by their exceptional power will cross those days. Let me remain idiot
for referring, if this power is not worth enough of reminiscing you as an apt saying to what I
meanthe power is reading which joins us with lives of those whom we admired by their ever
lasted dual nature. One-the nature of their power is derived from-to know like a book-of what life
by itself mean. Two-it is power of the outcome from understanding what they meantto know
ones book. These two are like the virtues of few great men whose ultimate goal in life is
reading the entire existing beings in the universe. What I mean is readingone of the most
structured methods of knowing and leaving meaningful life. What could otherwise be a life
without reading and I called it Gibberishism which means still nonsense of all nonsense life
forms.

These days, Gibberishism constitutes most of the stories in our life. Life from one of the stories
point of viewis characterized as a mere repetition of impulses that endlessly pursues its form
without even knowing it. In this world, if only one single livable life left that man has to choose,
neither hesitation nor perishing is my natureso I will choose it. For me, the choice is as simple
as my life looks these dayssurrounded by infinite duties full of readings, but to understand the
weighting temperament so far to be possessed in my age. Of course, I couldnt sorted out even
knew yet to question what a justifiable temperament of mine and others has to weight in making
sense of ourselves as human beings and our activities as institutions. But, it is certain that a
livable life must not be of the Gibberish one and never perishing in it. We perish, only when we
want to escape to forget the livable life of course we know without being able to enjoy it
completely enough.
Perhaps it would be more rigid to ascertain, every life reflection today, whether it bases
knowledge as best form to a livable life or bases Gibberishism as back away from the unfair
worldgives birth to a choice in life. But, sometimes without knowing which one to choose
based on our experience or based on the standards science itself confirmed, we grow ourselves in
an environment which suits for weak choices in life. On the contrary, those who abandon
themselves from such environment can possibly avoid life vanity and arrive at their ideal fruition
season.
More to life rudiments, it is not sufficient to swim in the livable environment for mere personal
satisfaction. There must be a purpose that we should have to reflect in our day to day life before
we get suffered once from ignorance and join the transcendental world by that natural forcedeath. It is therefore justifiable to say that we must grow in environment at least with an idea of a
better livable world than this. A man of great intellect is a man who has this idea about a livable
life. He also knows how to live a reading liferobust in his idea, zeal to understand others and
most importantly his world. A person called Larry McMutry, remarking The Pleasure of
Readinga book by Robert Alter, said that reading is one of the most stable and rewarding
human activities. Indeed, there is nothing to be stabled in life than reading.
Well, if the new term Gibberishism doesnt suit to one of you, keep bothering your mind to
answer these questions; what do you really know when you know something? How and why do
you know that something? That something is life, mysteriously unexplainable with some specific
forms in the absence of its ends, i.e. readingway to a greater insight into human nature. It is a
prerequisite for nearly all creative activities and by far the most effective habits of fermenting
ones imagination so that better minds come to exist for better world to come in the future. For
humans, experience is a natural duty of this world. The many forms of experience so far we
possessed is a lifetime duty in which nature by itself commands us to grasp a series reflections
with our sense organs. I could thoroughly say that all of our experiences are the results of our
sense organs. However, experience of the transcendental world is an essence of a knowing
through reading and certainly not of the sense organs. A sense which we should use to
understand the transcendental nature of beings is readingwhere its function relays on our
internalizing of the ways in which experience by itself is read through the interaction of the self
and the world.

Today, everywhere in young peoples culture, the habit of reading is declining at devastating
speed than ever and almost to remain a duty in some domains of academia. After all, reading is
unusual habit or activity, and of course absurd to the third world. It that because we, the third
world societies are told by westerns that we have nothing to do with reading since they
grudgingly put their primitivism on ushence literally spend much of our time yet on searching
for food than reading. If not then, is that because of the sorts of ideas as some people think--21st
century is a time to struggle and rush for power and money, so we think we are lucky to be
ignorant of the alpha, and its whereabouts.
Who am I to speak all these? Of course, Im a young fogy looking but member of the Generation
Y who always likes to service in nothing, but reading. My fidelity is to my consciousness and not
to the absurd life of this generation whose entire mentality is amid wars of physical needs. To out
their mentality from the situation is simple. As far as I know it is merely a matter of being
conscious of roads which takes us to the battle of life. One must confront it to live or avoid it to
perish. Whatever the extent in which the whole story of the young generations battles in life
appears to be tubby in its approach, dilemma for nothingness is merely a result of ignorance
which subdues them to perish.
What I mean exactly is: I dont know exactly what is happening to my mind and all of my quests
in search of the secret forces which govern this world are getting errant. Sometimes, I
deliberately prefer to arrange my weekend days and hours in which I could be like someone who
exercises frivolity. So that my wish for better hours of obsession and vain come to increase as
many as the hours of my age I lived so far. However, only when I am in this kind of state of
mind that I come to grasp some sorts of thoughts about the ongoing anti-mankind conspiracies
designed in different parts of the planet-earth. New discoveries in the hard science disciplines
such as physics, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and information technology can best
indicate the extent of humans capacity to make use of his knowledge and wisdom as almost
similar to the transcendental ones. Apparently, it is not everybody who could travel along this
mysterious life line secret in the universe, called the transcendent line or time. For man, the more
he detaches his activities from time the less he could aware that any ordinary life of humans
tends to be more and more abstract. Any simplest intelligible forms of life will then transform
into highly complicated and sophisticated forms. This is a form of life that I never want it to take
a place in the rest of our life, but it is an inevitable.
Despite the truth, it is less common to see when young people of my country get reconciled with
their authentic life. As a result, Gibberishism remains the single most factors for ignorance. For
the end of Gibberish life, what we should do is to be free from ignorance, and the very soon we
transform our weak intellect into highly curious one, all vain of life is filled with delight and
hope. All forms of delusions in life which emanate as a result of the fear of the unknown world
soon turns into structured and purpose driven life. But, purpose in life is the only thing I can be
certitude that it comes from knowing.
But, for so far we dont know this, we remain fugitives, restless as well as needless beings. We
are extravagant not industrious, orators not persuaders, claimants but losers, believers but
blasphemers, cursers not blessed, lovers not faithful, intellectuals not educators, philanthropists
but killers, patriots but racist, judges but corrupt, physicians but inhumane, rulers but dictators,

rich but greedy, merchants but deceiversWe blame-then we are not fathers; we hate-then arent
mothers either. But I say, for so far you know this, the snobbishness of brothers and envy of
sisters shall teach you the nonsensicalness of this world.
For we seek not a Gibberish life, so we shall follow the trace of a wise mans way, seek his salt,
because a wise man always follows prodigies of the dwellers in antiquities wherein great minds
were salt of lifethere was much in them to others than to their life.
Here, all ends with hatred against the self. I have no idea about an ease life and yet to be a new
company to myself. This is what Gibbereshism mean.
