Matthew 16:13-17
Now when Jesus came into the district
of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his
disciples, Who do people say that
the Son of Man is? And they said,
Some say John the Baptist, others
say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one
of the prophets. He said to
them, But who do you say that I
am? Simon Peter replied, You
are the Christ, the Son of the living
God. And Jesus answered
him, Blessed are you, Simon BarJonah! For flesh and blood has not

revealed this to you, but my

Father who is in heaven.

Interfaith Ministries) as
Chaplain at the Airport

Greetings Westbourne Family,

Thank you for your prayers and interest in the Aviation Ministry. No
doubt you are aware of the many bomb threats associated with various
airlines, and I appreciate prayers for aviation safety. I am on standby,
and on call 24- 7 should anything happen. I was called to a sad
situation when a lady passed away on an incoming flight last
month. She and her husband were Hindu. They drove 6 hours to the
airport and flew nine hours from South Africa to Amsterdam and while
waiting on a 7 hour layover, a Christian lady who was returning to
Medicine Hat who was from there same village befriended them. On
their 9 hour flight to Calgary this Hindu lady complained about chest
pains and by Gods provision there were three Doctors on the flight
who tried to revive her, but she passed away. I was called to meet the
family and pray with them. This born again lady and I had an instant
ministry connection. She shared how she had opportunity to witness to
the family in this tragic situation. The Hindu couple were coming to
Canada to spend three months visiting there son and daughter in-law
who they had not seen for 30 years, and meet their grandchildren for the
first time. I share these details because it is always amazing to me how
God has his people postured for ministry opportunities, and we need to
make ourselves available for Kingdom ministry callings. We are
continually interviewing new Chaplains and appointing people into
service.
Email me if I can be of assistance to you in your Spiritual Growth and
visit our web page www.aviationchaplaincy.com we are busy
preparing for our next store and active in touching people with the
message of hope.

How To Pray For Our Government
Franklin Graham: Praying for Those in Authority is a Biblical Command
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS WHAT TO PRAY
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be
made for all peoplefor kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and
quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior. 1
Timothy 2:13, NIV
Petition means to ask. God urges us to ask, and He is pleased when we do.
Prayer is talking to God, anywhere, anytime, in any way.
Intercession is praying for someone else. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ constantly
intercedes for us (see Romans 8:34), so it pleases God when we intercede for someone
elseincluding heads of state and others in authoritybecause we are doing what
Christ does.
Thanksgiving always pleases God, and the Bible specifically tells us to include
thanksgiving when talking to God about those in authority. We are to pray respectfully
for leaders. Show proper respect to everyone, fear God, honor the emperor (1 Peter
2:17). We are to pray with the clear understanding that government authority is
established by God. Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is
no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been
established by God (Romans 13:1). We also pray knowing that Gods Word says, The
kings heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He
wishes (Proverbs 21:1, NASB).
