The Tandberg TT1260 is an MPEG-2 standard definition (SD) 4.2.2 and 4.2.0 professional
grade integrated receiver decoder (IRD), ideally suited for contribution over satellite and
Telco Networks. It can receive Satellite signals through a choice of DVB-S, DVB-DSNG and
DVB-S2 demodulators. For contribution over Telco networks, the TT1260 can be equipped
with 48 VDC power supply and interfaces for direct connection to IP, G.703 or ATM
networks.

IPTV Overview
MKB International Ltd provides IPTV solutions, IPTV is a way in which digital TV services
are streamed over a IP network to the end user. This can be either over the Internet (Over-thetop/OTT IPTV) or distributed on a LAN within a building.
With traditional IPTV live TV is streamed from a TV Gateway onto the LAN for distribution
throughout the premises. Individual set top boxes (STBs) receive the live TV streams from
the LAN and convert them back to TV pictures. This system can be enhanced with a Video on
Demand server for playing movies, a Catch-up TV server for playback of TV programmes
and Timeshifting for pausing live TV.
With an OTT IPTV system a cloud based Streaming Server is used to connect client devices
to digital TV services. Smart TVs and TV on mobile devices are the emerging way to watch
TV.

. Network Monitoring Overview
MKB International supplies an Enterprise Telecom Network Monitoring solution called
Switchblade Network Monitoring for real-time telecoms network monitoring of SS7,
SIGTRAN and IP networks.
Switchblade can monitor either traditional SS7 traffic carried on E1 / STM-1 TDM trunks,
SIGTRAN / IP traffic carried over an Ethernet packet-switched IP network. The Call Detail
Records (CDRs) or IP Detail Records (IPDR) generated by probing the network are stored in
an Enterprise database for network monitoring traffic and performance analysis.
In addition, we offer a hosted database solution on a Cloud based application server, where
you are able to monitor your traffic and analyse your network CDRs/IPDRs and performance
statistics online.

EPG XMLTV Services
MKB International Ltd are now an EPG Service Provider to complement our OTT and IPTV
digital TV systems. We are now providing an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) or TV
guide Service for clients wishing to use broadcasts from the following Satellites:

The EPG service is offered either as a cloud based or on-the-premises solution. The EPG for
a bouquet of TV channels can be provided, offering you a bespoke EPG service should it be
required. The EPG file format is XMLTV and downloaded from a URL or by FTP. The IPTV
Middleware will ingest the latest EPG file, where it is processed to display the TV guide on
the screen. The user can then decide which TV programme to watch.
We currently offer EPG services for all UK and Irish free-to-air channels.
