Production to increase over the next 2 years
Domestic tea production is estimated to decline in 2010 by 2 per cent to 958 million kg, mainly due
to the pest attack on tea plantations in Assam during June to August 2010. Assuming normal
weather conditions, CRISIL Research expects production to increase over the next 2 years.
