Introduction
This user guide describes the Amadeus Travel Preferences Manager, a
component integrated with Amadeus Air, Cars, Hotels and Profiles.
Audience
This guide is intended for use by Amadeus Air, Cars, Hotels and Profiles users.
Prerequisites
A working knowledge of Amadeus Air, Cars, Hotels and Profiles is required.
Chapter 1
Introduction
Amadeus Travel Preferences Manager provides a direct link between the booking
process and your stored customer profiles. With Amadeus Travel Preferences
Manager you can make reservations that take into account your passenger's
personal or company preferences, as well as your own agency preferences.
To use Amadeus Travel Preferences Manager, you must create your PNR from a
profile. Then you can request air, car and hotel availability displays that are based
on the travel policies stored in the profile.
Chapter 2
You need to create a profile in order for Travel Preferences Manager to be able to
access your travel preferences when booking a flight, car or hotel.
The profiles you can create are:
Traveler profile
Company profile
Agency profile
Below is an example Traveler Profile with the name: Mr David Smith showing the
configured travel preferences for Air, Cars and Hotels.

If you don't know the code, enter the country name, and click on .
From the list that appears, click on the relevant code. The field is
automatically updated with the selected code.
8. In the Index field, enter the index name or code you have created to identify
this profile.
Example: KAC1093
9. In the Citizenship field, enter the 2-letter code of the country your customer is
a citizen of.

If you don't know the code, follow the note in step 7.
10. In the Country of Birth field, enter the 2-letter code of the country in which
your customer was born.
Example: DE
If you don't know the code, follow the note in step 7.
11. In the Language Spoken field, enter your customer's native language by
specifying the 2-letter code of the country in which that language is spoken.
Example: DE
If you don't know the code, follow the note in step 7.
12. In the Birthdate field, enter your customer's date of birth in the format
DDMMMYYYY.
Example: 15DEC1982
13. In the Global Search and Update Keywords field, enter the keywords that can
be used to retrieve this profile.
Example: Cruise
14. Click on Send.
If you don't know the code, enter the country name, and click on .
From the list that appears, click on the relevant code. The field is
automatically updated with the selected code.
3. In the Index field, enter the index name or code you have created to identify
this profile.

4. In the Global Search and Update Keywords field, enter the keywords that can
be used to retrieve this profile.
Example: Cruise
5. Click on Send.

In the availability display you requested, different types of highlighting are used to
reflect the preferences specified in the reference profile and the agency profile.
To view the preferences and policies applicable to your request, click on Selected
Policies in the toolbar below the availability display.
The following highlighting may be used:
Company or traveler preferences
Agency preferences
Both agency and company/traveler preferences
Company or traveler exclusions
Agency exclusions
Both agency and company/traveler exclusions
Specific company or traveler exclusions

Using Amadeus Travel Preferences Manager in Amadeus Cars, you can make
reservations that automatically include your client's corporate and personal travel
preferences as well as your own agency preferences.

2. Choose a trip category from the drop-down list. This indicates what kind of
trip the passenger is taking and which preferences to apply.

3. If there is more than one passenger in the active PNR, you will need to
choose which passenger's preference you want to use. Enter the relevant
number (the number of the passenger name element in the PNR) in the
Passenger Association field, or click on
window that appears.

The name of the selected passenger appears in the Travel Preferences
Manager toolbar.
4. Complete the input screen as usual.

You can still sell a car segment from a line that is grayed out.

Using Amadeus Travel Preferences Manager in Amadeus Hotels, you can make
reservations that automatically include your client's corporate and personal travel
preferences as well as your own agency preferences.
2. Choose one of the following from the Display Type drop-down list:
Enriched: An Enriched Display shows preferences in neutral availability. The
policies and preferences are highlighted but they are not used to bias the
display.

3. Choose a trip category from the drop-down list. This indicates what kind of
trip the passenger is taking and which preferences to apply.
