All the institutions recognized by MCI / National Board All the MS/DNB Gen Surgery students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year will be eligible for the event provided they are members of ASI. Zones: There will be 6 zonal CMEs for 2 days in that zone. Venue and the panel will be decided by the ASI. Levels and their format: There will be three levels in ASI TYSA Awards i.e. Online, Zonal and National Online will be done in March 2015. Online Level: Conducted through online portal, i.e. www.tysa.in Unique one-time ID and Password will be provided by Torrent field-staff to all the students personally. Each student will have to appear for a single examination of 45 MCQs in 30 mins duration. The ID will get disabled then after. More questions will be loaded on the portal in a way that two students appearing nearby will have different set of questions. 1 mark for correct answer, no negative marking. Total score will appear immediately after completion of the quiz on screen. Top twelve students from each zone will be eligible for competition at Zonal level. Zonal Level: It will be conducted along with the Zonal CME of ASI Four rounds will be there. MCQ round (20 questions, 40 Marks): All eligible students of MS/DNB Gen Surgery will be able to appear. Valuation of already selected 12 top students will be separately done. Valuation of rest of the candidates will be separately done and certificates will be given. 2 marks for correct answer, no negative marking. Poster Presentation round (50 Marks): Format E- poster, total volume in 10 MB presentation of 5 slides for 5 mins. After presentation of the top 12 Zonal participants presentations, other students will also be allowed to present their posters. Clinical Case Presentation round (70 Marks): All 12 online winners will be asked to bring one specific case. Each participant will be given 5 mins for presentation and 25 mins for question-answer regarding the case.
Based on the scores of these three rounds elimination will be done.
Only top 6 will be taken to the final round. Virtual round (40 Marks): Top 6 students will be given a virtual case scenario one by one, and will be asked questions based on that.
Based on the compiled score of four rounds top 2 students will
be selected for the National Level which will be held during ASICON 2015 at Gurgaon. Format of National level will be communicated very soon. Prizes: Online Winners (12 from each 6 zones): There will be certificates of participation and a prize. Zonal winners (2 from each zone): There will be memento, certificate of winning zonals as well as a prize. Top 3 posters in each zone will be given certificates and a prize (including posters other than top 12 Zonal participants too) All the students presenting posters will be given certificate. National winners (Top three): Winner: Trophy, Certificate and a prize 1st Runner-up: Trophy, Certificate a prize 2nd Runner-up: Trophy, Certificate a prize
